The labour market is facing major challenges, with shortages of workers across a wide range of skilled trades. Shortages of apprenticeships, instructors, and training opportunities means those seeking skilled trades work cannot be trained fast enough to meet current market demand. Immersive technologies like augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) allow you to develop your team's skills faster, cheaper, and with much lower risk of injury that relying on live training alone - for any job role. Your apprentices + grads WILL forget 90% of what's taught at induction.. Why? Because humans are forgetting machines.. When you first learn something that information disappears at an exponential rate Now combine that with the nerves and unknown of your first job! So how can we help them remember? ➡️ Reinforce it! Create time blocks for them to practice/review material and provide videos, checklists, and summaries for pre-/post-learning to digest and understand in their own time. ➡️ Make it relevant Let managers know what they'll be learning + when (+ give guidance) so it's easy to create opportunities for exposure to the skill they're learning in their role. ➡️ Make it interactive Actually make it fun - boring training does not stick. 🌟 Excited to Share My Latest Project! 🌟 As part of my internship journey, I had the opportunity to dive into the eerie and enigmatic world of the Backrooms, creating an immersive game using Unreal Engine 5. This project was a fantastic challenge, allowing me to explore advanced game mechanics, environmental storytelling, and the limitless possibilities of UE5’s cutting-edge features. From the atmospheric lighting to the uncanny soundscapes, every detail was crafted to deliver a surreal and spine-chilling experience. 💡 Highlights of the Project: -Leveraged UE5's Lumen for realistic lighting and shadows. -Developed procedural elements to enhance the unpredictability of exploration. -Focused on immersive storytelling to capture the essence of the Backrooms mythos.
