Most people suck at market research. I did. But if you avoid these 5 common mistakes, I guarantee you won't. No options were provided. → Leaves participants confused, and indecisive. Do this instead ↳ Include multiple choices. ↳ Make the scenarios relatable. Ignoring participant's cravings. → Undermines the whole purpose of the survey. Do this instead ↳ Understand their preferences. ↳ Draw out their cravings through options. Overlooking the unaware. → They might not realize their issues. Do this instead ↳ Highlight possible issues. ↳ Encourage them to recognize symptoms. Disregarding the power of data. → You're missing out on solid facts. Do this instead ↳ Trust the data. ↳ Use it to back up your points. Not being interactive. → Risk of getting bland, insipid responses. Do this instead ↳ Engage with your audience. ↳ Make them feel part of the process. Your market research isn't just about collecting data. It's about understanding your audience, their issues, their cravings, their options. Once you embrace this, you'll be amazed at the wealth of insights you'll uncover. So, how are you conducting your market research? Are you making these mistakes? #maketresearch #marketing #contentstrategy #strategy #content

In an insightful study conducted by The New York Times Customer Insight Group, five key reasons were identified for why people choose to share content on social media: 1. To be helpful to others: 49% of users say that reposting allows them to inform others about products, issues, and topics that can entertain, educate, or assist others. 2. To share about themselves: 68% of users repost to give people a better understanding of who they are and what they’re interested in. 3. To build and maintain relationships: 78% of users share information online because it helps them stay connected with people who are far away. 4. For self-improvement: 69% of users share content because it makes them feel more engaged with the world. 5. To raise awareness of issues or brands: 84% of users repost as a way to support brands or issues they care about. The study also found that some users share information as a way to “better internalize” it: 73% of respondents said they process information more deeply and thoughtfully when they share it. Do any of these reasons resonate with why you share content?

Post 4 of 5: Tracking Impact Beyond Vanity Metrics in the Environmental Sector🔍 In the environmental sector, impact is what counts - not digital vanity metrics like traffic, impressions or follower counts. But how do we measure true digital impact? In my experience, these metrics provide the best view for that: Conversion Rates: Track how many visitors take meaningful actions, like donations or event sign-ups. Engagement Metrics: Look at comments, shares, and interactions that show real interest and support, and look at your engagement % stats across all channels. Long-Term Growth: Measure retention over time or returning users % to see how well you're building a loyal supporter base. Focusing on these metrics will help you make informed decisions and ensure that your digital strategy supports real-world outcomes. #ImpactTracking #BeyondVanityMetrics #MissionDrivenMetrics

Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another #TuesdayTip, and this week we want to look at how to sharpen your business strategy. This week’s tip: >> 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐛𝐲 𝐔𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 “𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨-𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲𝐬” << When people think about market research, they often imagine expensive, large-scale studies. But one of the most effective ways to gather quick insights is by using micro-surveys—short, focused surveys that target a specific group or question. 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑰𝒕 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔: 💡 Fast and Affordable: Micro-surveys take just minutes to create and cost much less than traditional research, yet can provide targeted insights that lead to big business improvements. 💡 Higher Response Rates: People are more likely to respond to a short survey (3-5 questions) than a long, complex one, increasing your chances of gathering valuable feedback. 💡 Actionable Insights: Micro-surveys allow you to test specific ideas or assumptions and apply the results almost immediately. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝑻𝒐 (𝑬𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒚) 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕: 💡 Use Tools Like Typeform or Google Forms: These platforms are easy to use and free for basic surveys, making it simple to gather feedback in real time. 💡 Focus on One Key Question: Frame your survey around one critical question, like “𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦?” 💡 Target the Right Audience: Send your micro-survey to a relevant segment—your existing customers, social media followers, or prospects—to ensure valuable insights. Micro-surveys are a great starting point, but if you’re looking for more in-depth market research or tailored support, feel free to reach out to us—we’re here to help you make data-driven decisions. ✨ 🎨 Example: Find here an example of a Micro-Survey, posted by Sabina Kołodziejska-Fox on Survicate's blog. #MarketResearch #MicroSurveys #BusinessStrategy #CustomerInsights #LUKiN #TuesdayTip

In the world of social media marketing, there’s often a misconception that we just produce pretty pictures all day... That is definitely *part* of the job but at Truffle Social, we know that true success lies in being data-first. 📊💪 Beautiful aesthetics alone won't deliver a solid ROI! Our recent addition to the team, Naveena Patel, perfectly illustrates this approach. From the start, she immediately stood out for her analytical prowess and I've since been having weekly catch-ups with her to dig around in number-heavy spreadsheets to gain insights into what could be viewed by the not-so-numerically-orientated as a statistical chaos. As an all-female agency, we’re committed to challenging assumptions and prioritising analytics alongside creativity. The beautiful visuals we create are just the surface. Beneath it all, data guides our decisions, optimises our strategies, and drives meaningful results for our clients. We believe that nurturing a data-first mindset is essential for aspiring marketers. Naveena’s journey at Truffle is a powerful reminder that success is built on the foundation of analytics. More spreadsheet queens welcome. 👸🏾 https://lnkd.in/eB3ZxKDj #MarketingMagic #DataFirst #WomenInMarketing #BreakTheMold #TeamTruffle #socialmedia
