Since 2016, I've been speaking to students about preparing for exams through nutrition, but the benefits of good nutrition extend far beyond just physical health. When I speak to schools, the army, or gyms, it’s often about how certain foods can support us in managing the situations we face—whether it’s mental clarity for exams, resilience in tough environments, or improving physical performance. My talks at schools are for the students however I often am told by the teachers, they found it useful. My first ever talk 8 years ago, the teacher who organised the talk said she transformed her breakfasts after listening to me and every year after she is keen to tell the students about it and how much better she has felt as a result. I am known as a breakfast transformer! At the schools I speak to, exam results have improved since 2016 and though I know other factors are at play I like to think my information has played a part. However, for me it is not about results it is about how they come out at the other end, good food and nutrition can help you cope better towards challenge. Whether it’s helping students stay sharp during exams and happy after them, or guiding athletes and exercisers toward better performance, I'm passionate about sharing the power of nutrition. I’m always excited to connect with more organisations who want to prioritise health and performance through nutrition. #NutritionforPerformance #talks #healthandwellness

I send a newsletter out every Monday morning that gives you protein-packed recipes so that you can keep your entire family fueled & nourished. Subscribe to it through the link in the comments! Weeks 6-8 in college, we see a rise in stress and anxiety among college students. Here are some reminders to stay ahead of stress: 1. "Bottom Up" - stay active and move your body with intention. Make exercise a daily standing appointment time. Opposed to "top down" when you tend to think, not move. 2. Keep your nutrition in tip top shape so your immune system can fight stress. Vitamins C, B, and D and many others. 3. Plan each day and be consistent (but flexible) with your routine. 4. Fight the urge to procrastinate. Approach overwhelming tasks by breaking them into smaller do-able parts. 5. Be around others. Humans are social creatures and our nervous systems like connection. #stress #college #managestress #incollege #students #stressedstudent #mentalhealth
