🗓️There are now only two weeks left to send in a proposal to our £1.6 million Themed Competition "It’s Good for Missiles to Talk" (Phase 2). We're looking to identify and develop novel technologies that could be exploited in the development of cooperative missiles. Think you might be able to offer an innovative solution? Read the full competition document and send in your proposal soon! 📡Cooperative missiles are a new category of missile that can communicate with each other; share situational awareness and organise themselves to ‘work together’ efficiently, during an engagement and within operator-set constraints, to achieve a common objective. 🗓️The closing date for submissions is midday (GMT) on Tuesday 20 February 2024. 👉Read more about the competition and submit a proposal here: https://ow.ly/WF0250Qfsm6

THE ITALIAN MAGAZINE LIMES ILLUSTRATES A SCENARIO WITH THE USE OF THE ISRAELI JERICHO.3 MISSILE AGAINST IRAN! India made history in the field of technology by successfully testing an Agni -5 missile equipped with an MIRV( Multiple Independently Targetable Reentry Vehicle). MIRV is used in ballistic missile systems where a single missile carries multiple warheads, each capable of being aimed at a different target. MIRV technology relies on advanced guidance and control systems within the missile to accurately release and target multiple warheads independently during reentry. These systems typically include sophisticated inertial guidance systems, on-board computers, and mechanisms for separating and directing each warhead to its designated target. Additionally, MIRV-equipped missiles require robust communication and coordination capabilities to ensure that each warhead receives updated targeting information and can adjust its trajectory to hit its intended objective. Its importance lies in its application in missiles and from its hostile actions like Strategic flexibility, Counter force capability to counter Iron dome systems, Economic efficiency and Force multiplier.

#China is building capacity to intercept US missiles, it's basic focus is to contain and confront US as and when it takes over #Taiwan. China though concentrating towards its East, conducts most of its tests towards the West. The other areas where it plans to confront US directly is #energy security.

North Korea reaffirms plan to launch multiple spy satellites this year, following the successful launch of the Malligyong-1 spy satellite in November. The country's National Aerospace Technology Administration stated that several launches are expected for this year. South Korea's unification ministry emphasized that any North Korean satellite using ballistic missile technology is a clear violation of U.N. security council resolutions. The government is closely cooperating with the United States to monitor key North Korean facilities for any signs of such launches. #AsiaRisk #GeopoliticalConflictandDisputes #SouthKorea Follow us for daily updates on risk and operations in Asia! https://lnkd.in/gcb6CdhJ

Top US Scientist ‘Slams’ India’s Agni-V Missile Test; Says New Delhi Could ‘Disarm’ Pakistan With MIRV Tech In what could be termed as adopting a more flexible deterrence vis-à-vis its two aggressive nuclear-powered countries – China and Pakistan – India on March 11 successfully test-fired a long-range ballistic missile Agni-V with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology. In one swoop, India entered the exclusive group of countries with MIRV...

Absolutely cool and well curated, interactive graphics, SME analysis, raw data on #NorthKorea, #Iran, #India, and #Pakistan missile tests. Worth saving the link and come back whenever you need it. Here's the intro For NK section. "The James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) North Korea Missile Test Database is the first database to record flight tests of all missiles launched by North Korea capable of delivering a payload of at least 500 kilograms (1102.31 pounds) a distance of at least 300 kilometers (186.4 miles). The database captures advancements in North Korea’s #missileprogram by documenting all such tests since the first one occurred in April 1984, and will be routinely updated as events warrant. The below map allows users to view North Korea’s missile tests over a period of time, and to select by missile #type, missile family, and the tests’ #results. Users can also view additional infographics and read expert analysis of the database. The full CNS North Korea missile test dataset is available in Excel format (download), along with information concerning exactly how the tests are recorded and the information is categorized."

🤝Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do at DASA. Our latest Case Study outlines the way in which we teamed up with defence primes, government and industry innovators to develop novel missiles that can talk to each other through our Themed Competition 'It's Good For Missiles to Talk: Phase 2'. Read about the collaboration effort required to get multiple technical partners, stakeholders and advisors on board which eventually led to the investment of £1.4 million to a mixture of universities, large organisations and SMEs. 📼We've also included a handy video to help visualise the work involved in bringing the project together.
