Emergency LTE service using TVWS Relay Basestation (LTE base station) and PS-LTE RAN Sharing were confirmed using PS-LTE phones of rescue workers at GS E&C's Shinbong deep underground tunnel construction site in Seoul. If a fire occurs in an underground space, the electric power will be turned off and mobile communication services will be collapsed. If LTE service is stopped in the underground space, people will have no means of survival due to the interruption of mobile communication services. Additionally, rescue workers also face great difficulties in rescue activities as they are unable to communicate as both LTE and PS-LTE services are stopped in the underground space. TVWS Relay Base Station is a solution that provides urgent LTE and PS-LTE services in the event of an underground disaster in order to solve these underground space problems. Today, TVWS Two Hop provided 7~10Mbps wireless data in underground space.
