🌍 Excited to participate in the Open Innovation PhD seminar as part of #WOIC2024 Conference organised at University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business! 💥 The greatest advantage - intense, but incredibly valuable research discussions with great minds Henry Chesbrough - the founder of the Open innovation concept, Joel West and Agnes Radziwon, and other PhD peers from the globe Almog Goldstein, Maximiliano Selistre Carlomagno, Ettore Gorni Ricardo Gallego, Paula Lirio Melfe, Shivani Datai, Britt Stegers, Arushi Sharma, Hazel Hyeonjeong Kim, Max van den Broek 💡Key takeaway: - Anomalies or failure cases may lead to novelties in research. - Sustainability-driven open innovation may help to broaden knowledge, scale the impact and advance in green/ clean technological development. - Tracking of not appreciated and abandoned ideas would be an interesting question for Asoc.prof. PhD Elina Mikelsone in #SustainableIdeaManagement research ✨Grateful to Banku Augstskola for the opportunity to collaborate with peers who share a passion for open innovation within World Open Innovation Community. #OpenInnovation #Sustainability #PhDResearch #CircularBusiness #EnvironmentalSustainability

The Matching Q-M tool is an effort to: 1. Convert a decision making need into a well-formulated question. 2. Once having a question, finding the right methodological approach to answer it You can find it online in the Global Commission on Evidence to Address Societal Challenges website https://t.co/Xy2ooRJA5k Using the Matching Q-M tool, we can convert the acceleration of the SDGs, into a series of questions that researchers can eventually grab to address them by knowledge production. The Matching Q-M tool is the result of my PhD at McMaster University. Here are the 2 papers that present the methods behind the tool. https://lnkd.in/e5uedRCU https://lnkd.in/egddMQha And of course, an important acknowledgement to my PhD supervisor John N. Lavis, and congrats to him for winning the The Campbell Collaboration Robert Boruch award for his distinctive contribution to research to inform public policy. A big thanks to my committee members Gordon Guyatt and Arthur Sweetman, and to many others that provided feedback and important contributions to the Matching Q-M tool. Finally, as we all come back from #Prague, I believe that we need more efforts to strengthen intersectional action. The Global Evidence Summit 2024 #GES2024 was a great venue to facilitate these collaborations and we certainly need to see more of these efforts in upcoming months/years!

Very happy and honored to have received the Thomas C Chalmers Award for the best long oral presentation at the Global Evidence Summit 2024 #GES2024! 2030 is around the corner, but the progress to the #SDGs seems far from behind. As researchers, we can still contribute to accelerate this agenda. In my presentation, I introduce a way to connect knowledge production with achieving the SDGs on time.
