☀️ Solar Power in Europe on the Rise Solar continues to be the fastest growing renewable energy source in the EU. According to estimations by EUPD Research Energy, the new solar PV installed in the EU-27 registers a YoY growth rate of 40% with around 57-60 GWdc newly installed PV by the end of 2023. The total EU-27 solar PV fleet now amounts to ~273 GWdc, with Germany (~81 GWdc) leading the way as the largest contributor, followed by Spain (~38 GWdc) and Italy (~30 GWdc). KEY - The Energy Transition Expo 2024 has made it its mission to serve as a reference point for Europe and the Mediterranean basin when it comes to renewable energy and enacted its integrated internationalization strategy.
