Here at Celebrating Disability, we’re tackling a topic that’s spread to every area of work, and disability inclusion is no exception – AI and technology. Love it or hate it, it’s here to stay, and this month we’ll be diving into the pros, cons, and what it means for disability inclusivity. From AI-powered tools like real-time captioning in meetings to smart accessibility features in apps, technology is opening doors for disabled people in workplaces – but there are challenges too, and concerns that AI may even make it harder for disabled workers to find employment. Our Global Accessibility and Digital Inclusion Policy supports our mission and provides a framework, but true inclusion happens when everyone is respectful and empathetic in a culture where there is trust.
