My boss pitched the idea of creating vlogging content from the company's perspective. The reasoning is that most corporate videos are too corporatey, if that makes any sense, lol. I took the idea and ran with it, helping coordinate our team's donation to a local food pantry. It was a lot of fun. According to HubSpot in a 2024 Instagram report, 35% of the content that brands post is content that reflects your brand's values. According to Hootsuite's Social Media Trends 2025 report, nearly half of all brands post 61% to 100% content to entertain, educate, or inform without directly promoting their organization, products, or services. The data is there to take the risk and do some creative content. No one is perfect, and you can quickly tell I'm not the best at it, but give it a shot and see what happens. #SocialMedia #SocialMediaTrends #CreativeMarketing #DigitalMarketing

Piscataquis Regional Food Center Adjusts Service Area to Focus on Core Communities Starting January 1, 2025, the Piscataquis Regional Food Center (PRFC) will focus its marketplace services exclusively on residents of Piscataquis County and the Dover-Foxcroft community. This adjustment, though difficult, ensures PRFC can continue to provide quality support to those most in need within their core service area. In 2025, residents of Dover-Foxcroft, Atkinson, and Bowerbank will be invited to shop at the Food Center marketplace twice monthly. All other residents of Piscataquis County will be invited to shop once per month. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gik-vjwi

Food drives are important and help bring in an excellent variety of food to anti-hunger organizations, but they are also a LOT of work. It's important to keep this mind if you're organizing one this holiday season, to make sure you're not adding too much to the plate of your local food pantry. Exciting news from the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank announcing their planned expansion, preparing them to double their capacity to meet growing demand in their area. In the past five years, our total food collection amounted to around 2 million pounds. However, in the current fiscal year alone, we are on track to exceed that amount. Why? Well to put it simply: we had to collect more because more people need our help than ever before. We're serving 56x more people monthly than any time in our history. And when people need our assistance, we do whatever we can to help. All of the food we rescue from places like Shaw's Supermarkets, Stop & Shop, Chick-fil-A Restaurants, and more is one of the key ways we are able to stock our pantry with fresh protein, fresh produce, and pantry staples. For what we aren't able to rescue, we buy. This allows us to ensure that our pantry is always stocked with culturally relevant and diverse foods that meet the needs of our community. It's no easy task rescuing more than 30,000 pounds of food alone a day and helping nearly 200 people a day access food, clothing, diapers, and other critical necessities. But with a team as small as ours, you do what you have to. Want to help us continue to ensure everyone in our community has what they need? Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eR6ZFNNn

Did you know that the Helping Hands Solutions Team does street outreach to connect with unhoused individuals in the area? One of the tools staff use are Street Outreach bags that consist of non-food life essentials (hygiene products, etc.) and no-cook, high calorie foods to support the health of these individuals who live with food insecurity every day. Our supply of food for these Street Outreach bags is running low and you can help by purchasing something off our Amazon food wish list (and designating it for "outreach") or dropping off food like what is listed below to the warehouse (and informing staff it's for "outreach"): -Liquid IV packs -Meat sticks -Crackers -Nuts -Tuna, chicken, sardines, etc. -Granola bars See the Amazon wish list here: https://ow.ly/SwMt50SFFTe . You can email the Solutions Team directly at SolutionsAdmin@helpinghandsfoodbank.org #streetoutreach #unhoused #homelessness #community #helpinghands #helpinghandsfoodbank #hunger #health #foodbank
