On a random Thursday, my college life officially ended!🎓 Today, 06/06/2024, marks the end of a very important chapter of my life. (Long post alert) No more next sems No more college classes No more useless assignments No more begging for proxies No more running for attendance No more fake promises of "next time pkka padhungi" (which never happened, lol) I was 17 when I stepped into college, clueless about: - How the real world works - How to deal with people - How to be independent - How to make decisions on my own I was quite innocent and unaware of my surroundings and even myself back then. Just a girl following "Jo ho rha hain hone do" :) But over time, I learned: - How to find calm in chaos - Discovered(ing) my true self - Started observing and learning - Began to understand people - Realized the importance of overall development And, of course, I deviated from regular college academics—though I wouldn’t recommend this to my juniors. For me, the education system and its teaching methods didn't resonate well. It was more about rote learning, favoring those who are good in "rattafication". And only a few know that I really struggle with it. However, college life is much more than academics, a realization that came to me a bit late. College offers many opportunities to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. And how can any DUite forget the societies and clubs? These societies helped me confront my weaknesses and grow beyond my comfort zones that I never thought of before. My college life has indeed been a bag full of learnings, laughter, smiles, stress, pain, excitement, fear, fun, and a whole lot of emotions.🩷 I am forever grateful for: - The strange yet not-so-easy transition that college brought me - The lessons (not academic, but more about people and life) it taught me I am glad that I survived it all.🧿 Cheers to the end of an era! 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝟭: 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝘀 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴)💫 Looking back at my first semester in college, it was like a rollercoaster ride—fun, fast, and full of surprises. Here’s what I learned (the hard way): - 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒔? 𝑾𝒉𝒐’𝒔 𝑺𝒉𝒆?📚 Got so busy with societies, outings, and fun that studies became a distant memory… until exam season slapped me in the face. - 𝑫𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒖𝒃𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒔 = 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝑳𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍🤯 Turns out, you can’t wing these. They demand consistent effort, unlike side subjects, which are more “cram and conquer.” - 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 = 𝑴𝒚 𝑨𝒓𝒄𝒉-𝑵𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒔🙂 I tried to do everything at once in the last few weeks—spoiler alert, it didn’t end well. Lesson learned: start early, plan better. - 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒐𝒎 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒆💸 No one’s chasing you in college. If you slack, it’s all on you. Self-discipline is the name of the game. Semester 1 was chaotic but full of lessons. Semester 2? 💪Yaay I made it 🙌 My 2024 in review👇 I performed incredibly well in 2024 with below grades 💯 Electives I scored A- in "Personal Development" I scored A in "Resilience" I scored A in "Faith in God" I scored B in "Trust the process" I scored B in "Coming out of my comfort zone" Core Subject I used to score an F in my core subject! Guess what I scored this time round🤔 📌This time, I scored B+ in my core subject "learning the ropes of LinkedIn visibility"👌💪 I had the desire to post on linkedin but really couldn't take a step. I had many topics I wanted to write ✍️ about,to share my knowledge and experiences, but each time I had the thought to, there was something holding me back.
