Embracing the Journey: From Cancer Survivor to Coach Ten years ago, my life took an unexpected and terrifying turn—I was diagnosed with cancer. At the time, I was a mother to two very young children, just 10 months and 2.4 years old. The diagnosis was overwhelming, and the path ahead seemed insurmountable. However, amidst the fear and uncertainty, I discovered a wellspring of strength, faith, and resilience within me. The support of my loved ones became my lifeline, guiding me through the darkest days. Each small victory, each moment of hope, pushed me forward, one step at a time. Today, I am proud to say I have been in remission for 9 years. This journey has not only been about surviving cancer but also about growing through it. I have learned that true strength is not the absence of fear but the courage to face it head-on. I have come to understand that even in the most challenging times, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. As a coach, I have dedicated my life to helping others navigate their own paths to recovery. I counsel and inspire those facing health challenges to believe in themselves, gather their strength, and focus on their well-being. My goal is to encourage, empower, and guide my clients toward a healthier, happier life. To those who are currently battling health issues, I want to say this: Believe in your capacity to overcome. Surround yourself with a support system, prioritize your well-being, and never lose sight of the light that awaits you at the end of the tunnel. Your journey, though difficult, is a testament to your resilience and strength. If you or someone you know is looking for guidance on their path to recovery, I am here to help. Together, we can walk this journey towards health and happiness. #CancerSurvivor #HealthCoach #WellBeing #Resilience #Recovery #Inspiration #LifeAfterCancer #CoachingForHealth #Empowerment #StrengthInAdversity #LightAtTheEndOfTheTunnel #HealthAndHappiness

April, known as Parkinson's Awareness Month, is a pivotal time for those of us battling this disease. It's about pushing forward, keeping momentum, and highlighting the organizations that support us. Living with Parkinson's presents daily challenges, but it's important to remember we're not defined by our symptoms. Sharing our experiences can foster understanding, turning these hurdles into catalysts for empathy and support. The Parkinson's Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation are just two organizations that underscore the critical need for research. While a cure remains elusive, every scientific breakthrough brings us closer. The funds these organizations raise fuel this essential research, fostering hope. This month is a testament to our shared resilience. It's a call to keep moving, to stay informed, and to support each other. Together, we'll keep the momentum alive in our journey with Parkinson's.

This week, I spoke with a powerhouse. She’s healed things most people would call impossible—stage 4 cancer, lifelong trauma, broken ribs, chronic pain. She knows her gift, but she’s been hiding it. Instead of owning her power, she’s been looking for something more “mainstream” to talk about. Something safer. Something that won’t scare people off. She’s not alone. Most people think they know their X-Factor—the thing that sets them apart—but they don’t. Not really. They lean into what feels comfortable. They mimic what’s popular. They talk about what they think people want to hear. Meanwhile, the thing that could actually set them apart? The thing that could change lives and bank accounts? It stays buried. The problem isn’t talent. It’s fear. Fear of being “too much.” Fear of getting it wrong. Fear of owning a gift so big it makes them stand out. I see it all the time. And I’ll tell you the same thing I told her... Your X-Factor isn’t hiding from the world. You’re hiding it. The moment you own it, everything changes. For her, that means dropping the safe topics and stepping unapologetically into her gift. For you? It might mean finally admitting that the version of yourself you’ve been showing the world isn’t the one you were born to be. If this hits, stop waiting. You’ve got the power to lead, heal, and live boldly—it’s time to use it. This is exactly what we uncover in the Mentor Xperience. If you’re done playing small, DM me. Let’s wake up your real power. Act fast, there are only 2 spaces available and when they are claimed they are gone.

July! A New Month Inspired by the Serenity Prayer 🔶 As we enter H2, I offer a message of encouragement to all those fighting cancer—patients and healthcare professionals alike. The road you walk is often challenging and uncertain. Here is the Serenity Prayer, which provides words of strength that deeply resonate. "God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, The courage to change the things we can, And the wisdom to know the difference." 🔶For Cancer Patients: #Serenity: Finding peace in a storm. From a scary diagnosis to treatment side effects, you must focus on taking care of yourself and celebrating milestones, big or small. Accept the challenges you can't control and channel your energy into your peace. #Courage: Even though it seems overwhelming, now is not the time to give up. Maintain your fighting spirit and explore all available treatment options. Believe in your strength to heal, embrace love over sadness, and face each day with bravery, even if it seems like the last day. #Wisdom: For every human, it will all end one day. We are all mortals, right? So, learn to number your days, recognize how few they are, and spend them purposefully. Seek knowledge and accurate information. Work closely with your doctor to make informed decisions about your treatment plan. 🔶 For Healthcare professionals : #Serenity: Accept that some situations may be outside your immediate control. Focus on delivering the best possible care and positively impacting your patients' lives. #Courage: Be bold in exploring innovative treatments and supportive tools for your patients. Embrace the evolving field of oncology and push the boundaries of what's possible. #Wisdom: Find wisdom in setting boundaries. Remember to balance your clinical commitment with your personal needs to avoid burnout. Take care of yourself! Eat well, drink water, get enough sleep, and try to stay calm. Dress well and take care of yourself. Know your limits and seek expert advice on your finances, health, and retirement plans. Use your experience and knowledge to guide your patients through their journeys. In the numbness of burnout, our patients are a blessing, and it is a unique privilege to care for each one. #thepeoplesoncologist #cancer #CancerCommunity #SerenityPrayer #Hope #NewMonth #Support #pearloncology

🌟 Tonight’s the big night! I’m deeply honored to be recognized at the Project Lyme 2024 Gala. As I reflect on my journey, I’m reminded of the incredible resilience within each of us. 🤲 Six years ago, I sat in the audience of this very event, battling tick-borne illnesses with a port in my chest for IV therapy. I envisioned standing here one day, free from the physical and emotional toll of Lyme disease—and today, that vision has become my reality. 🙏 This isn’t a story of suffering, but a story of hope. In 2020, after years of struggle and setbacks, my health hit its lowest point. I needed a cane to walk and worried about what the future held. But through persistence, exploring new treatments, and the incredible support I received, I found healing. 🌸 Today, I no longer rely on a cane, my chest port has been removed, and I’m living proof that healing is possible. 🌿 I became involved with Project Lyme to pay forward the second chance I’ve been given—to help others who are still on their healing journeys. 💚 Lyme disease is often misunderstood, but together, we can shed light on it, support critical research, and ensure that others have access to life-changing treatments. 🎤 My message is simple: never lose hope. No matter how long or hard the journey, healing is possible, and we can get through it together. https://lnkd.in/dftKhKFK #LymeDiseaseAwareness #HealingJourney #HopeAndResilience #VascularAccess
