The 2024 #USDA #FNS Process and Technology Improvement Grants are still open for #SNAP State Agencies to submit applications. To assist applicants, #FNS has posted the first of two informational webinars. The #PTIGs focus this year is on improving #QualityControl results after dismal reporting numbers came in for 2023. Preference will be given to applications using new processes and technologies to reduce the time to benefits. Application Processing Timeliness (APT), Payment Error Rates (PER), and Case and Procedural Error Rates (CAPER) can be improved to promote #programintegrity and ensure benefits only go to those eligible. Removing fraudulent applications and those seeking to #defraud the government at the #frontend leaves more staff capacity to provide better #customerservice to real applicants.
