We’re enormously grateful to the Walk With Scott Foundation who have made an incredibly generous gift of £10,000 to help children struggling with their mental health. Poor mental health is one of the biggest challenges of this generation, and ECHC is incredibly proud to have supported so many young people, and their families, struggling with this through the Haven. It’s only thanks to the dedication and kindness of supporters like the Walk With Scott Foundation that we have been able to provide such valuable support and intervention. We know what a milestone gift this is for the Foundation, and we are absolutely thrilled. ❤️

🌟 Digital Rapport is Taking on the Push-Up Challenge! 🌟 From May 28th to June 24th, David Cowling and Helen Molloy will join thousands of Australians in the Push-Up Challenge to raise awareness for mental health. Over 24 days, we aim to complete 3,249 push-ups, representing the 3,249 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2022. This initiative is more than just a fitness challenge—it's a powerful way to honor those we've lost and to push for better mental health for all Australians. This is ALOT of push ups between two people, but we are committed to making a difference and supporting mental health awareness, and we encourage everyone to join us in this important cause. 🤝 Let's push together for better mental health! #PushForBetter #MentalHealthAwareness #FitnessForACause #DigitalRapport #PushUpChallenge #MentalHealthMatters

The Push Up Challenge for Mental Health holds deep personal significance for many, including myself and friends who have faced mental health struggles. Participating in this challenge not only promotes physical fitness but also symbolizes our collective journey towards breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness. Each push-up represents a step toward honoring those we know who have battled these challenges, and a commitment to supporting those who continue to fight. Without initiatives like this, countless individuals might lack the resources and support they desperately need. By joining the challenge, we raise crucial funds for mental health organizations, ensuring that support systems are available for those in need. This collective effort is a powerful reminder that we are not alone, and together, we can foster a society that prioritizes mental well-being and provides the necessary resources to help everyone thrive.

“The mossy cottage” My daughter made this in a TALA session. A TALA (Therapeutic Active Listening Assistant) is a specialist teacher supporting children with emotional or social difficulties. Since Steve’s suicide, Mrs D has provided space each week to help Ada voice concerns, cope with worries, look at situations differently and build resilience. It’s informal; they draw, create or take walks around the school grounds and Ada knows she can talk about whatever's on her mind 🖍️🎨 We talked about safe spaces in a recent MHFA England® webinar. I was on the panel of experts sharing my lived experience and contributing to the conversation about how we can create safe workplaces, support mental health and prevent suicide. I liken Mrs D’s role to that of a line manager, and TALA sessions to regular check-ins with staff (within the scope of a workplace setting, of course) 📆 Providing safe spaces is a critical priority for organisation. ❌ To be effective, check-ins DON’T have to be formal, scary and structured. ✅ They DO have to be proactive, regular, safe and compassionate, enabled by colleagues who are trained in active listening. How do you support your ‘workplace Mrs Ds’? And what are your organisations doing to create spaces like these? I'd love to know... Please take care of yourselves and each other. Caroline 💛💛💛 Hannah Creech, Anil Toraty, Aysha Khan, Chris Hartmann, Steve Blundell 💚 If you need a safe space to talk, you can speak with Samaritans on 116 123 💗 Find guidance & support through the SANE Textcare and SANEline services 💜 Visit PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide to find out about the brilliant work they’re doing 💚 Contact Suicide&Co for help & support if you’ve been bereaved by suicide 💜 Take a look at the peer-to-peer support from Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide 💙 To start a conversation, text the word ‘Shout’ to 85258, powered by Mental Health Innovations 🧡And support a bereaved child with the help of Winston's Wish #Suicide #MentalHealth #Kindness #Wellbeing #SuicideAwareness #Grief #Bereavement #DaddyBlackbird ………………..
