Has Business Transformation Become Obsolete? How does this impact IT Transformation? ◾ Darwin wrote of species adaptability, which is by nature evolutionary, not spasmodic, and in harmony with the broader ecosystem. It’s not resiliency. It’s regeneration. ◾ When we work with regenerative leaders, our goal is progress toward a long-term vision, not making knee-jerk tweaks. ◾ The most successful transformations create intentional change one step at a time. ◾ Prioritize the most important changes first. Start by rewiring the most critical processes. ◾ The future is full of changes, challenges, and surprises. We cannot plan or de-risk them all. The only way forward? Embrace uncertainty, find positive change from the triggers, and stay flexible and excited about driving evolutionary, more lasting change. https://lnkd.in/eGXPuHKm

Regenerative versus transformational. Interesting perspective from HBR. What’s the difference you say? And, if you’re constantly transforming, at what point do you become regenerative? Here’s one statement about it: “In the regenerative businesses that we’ve worked with, leaders understand that transformation is not a one-time special project, and it’s not about a single topic.” Further…. “When we work with regenerative leaders, our goal is progress toward a long-term vision, not making knee-jerk tweaks.” And I love the closing line… “Let’s regenerate. That’s how we truly transform.” So I’m more in the regenerative camp than the transformational camp, although they clearly overlap. Good material, and a new buzz word, too!! #Business #BusinessTransformation #Transformation

Flipping your point of view to work backward from a potential future often surfaces a whole lot of options that are hard to find when you're just looking at the next step in front of you... nice article on regenerative transformation!
It may be difficult and even exhausting, but it’s still true. We see that business and community are inextricably connected. We need to unlock and unleash the people energy from all our colleagues, our shareholders, and the broader society to effect lasting change, given this interdependency. Courageous leaders will reexamine and rethink their approaches and ask the right questions to change for the better. My Kearney colleagues, including co-author Abby Klanecky, are proud to work shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients to #regenerate a future that works for everyone. Transformation is key to staying competitive and moving forward as an organization. But what is the core of transformation? It's all about people. Without people, there can be no transformation. It's not just about the end goal, but the journey to get there. By putting people at the center of transformation, we can create a better future for everyone involved. #transformation #peoplefirst

I love our new thought leadership piece! Karalee Close & Jack Azagury outline an innovative blueprint for excellence in continuous change. It includes the consistent application of proven practices and innovative practices possible through emergent technology. Discover the Change Capability Quotient. The role of #leadership as “architects of change” is central to our findings. Beyond merely initiating #transformations, leaders must integrate #change into their #culture, aligning it with core purposes and values. Leaders who provide clarity and motivation and excel in these capabilities do not just manage change—they inspire and enable it. By increasing the maturity of change practices outlined in this blueprint, organizations can transform into dynamic, resilient entities capable of outperforming expectations and achieving meaningful results, including: 🚀 Higher financial performance, with annual revenue growth up to 5 percentage points higher on average than other companies. 🚀 Better experiences that meet employees’ needs, unlock their potential and leave them 2x more likely to feel Net Better Off. 🚀 Faster outcomes, with leading organizations 80% more likely to achieve successful transformation on schedule. They’re also more likely to join the Reinventors—the elite 9% of companies that not only transform but consistently outperform.
