Prof. K. Rama Mohana Rao, had a dialogue with faculty and students on ‘Empowering Youth’ through Reforms in Higher Education. The quality initiatives in higher education ecosystem of Andhra Pradesh in recent years by the government are discussed in the light of dynamic changes taking place in the academic environment. The students are advised to exploit the new resources made available to them and expand their potential to become graduates with skills and competencies and to achieve gainful employment across the globe. The curricular reforms introduced for professional and non-professional programs are intended to integrate knowledge, skills, community sensibility and practical experience and to transform the students’ industry ready or capable of becoming entrepreneur by him/herself. //Quality education has always been a long-pending dream of Bihar, where 50 percent of the population is exposed to challenges like migration. The students from here not only move to bigger cities like Delhi, Mumbai and others for higher education but the lack of career opportunities in their hometowns also acts as a roadblock in their career path. Now addressing these major challenges with the vision of providing world-class research-based education, training and entrepreneurial skills to these students, Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNSU) in Sasaram, is now fast-changing the education landscape in Bihar.// Govind Narayan Singh https://lnkd.in/dZdt-rpU

Exploring in #Education in #India - 7 #PrimaryEducation in #India Primary education in India is divided into #LowerPrimary (Class I-V) and #UpperPrimary (Class VI-VIII). Targeting #children aged 6 to 14, the #government emphasizes #elementaryeducation under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009, which mandates free education up to Class VIII and bans #child labour to keep children out of unsafe work environments. Despite efforts, enforcement is challenging due to economic disparities and social conditions. About 80% of elementary schools are government-run, making it the largest provider of #education. As of 2011, India had approximately 5.8 million #elementary #school #teachers and 2.1 million #secondaryschool teachers as of March 2012. However, many #students #graduate with poor #literacy and #numeracy skills, with only 50% of fifth-graders in rural areas able to read a Standard II-level text, and only 29% able to do basic division as of 2019. Challenges in the #educationsystem include high pupil-to-teacher ratios, inadequate #infrastructure, and insufficient #teachertraining. Efforts like the District Education Revitalisation Programme (DERP) aim to improve primary education by funding school construction and alternative education, but issues like #corruption hinder #progress. Notably, Kerala achieved 100% primary education in January 2016 through its Athulyam literacy program. The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (Education for All) initiative has led to high gross enrollment ratios of 93-95% in recent years and increased female enrollment. Nonetheless, quality issues persist, largely due to teacher absenteeism and negligence, with significant percentages of teachers absent or not teaching during inspections. #learning

The recent statistics from Lok Sabha regarding the education crisis in Uttar Pradesh are alarming. With over 11.7 million children across India out of school, and Uttar Pradesh alone contributing approximately 785,000 of these students, we stand at a critical juncture. The Ministry of Education's acknowledgment of this issue emphasizes the urgency of action. At DEVI Sansthan, we are committed to tackling this crisis through several key initiatives:1. Training Educators as Leaders to foster innovative teaching practices.2. Developing Community-Centered Learning Models to ensure inclusivity.3. Utilizing Technology to make quality education accessible for all.4. Advocating for policies that prioritize Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN).The time for action is now. The Alarming Education Crisis in Uttar Pradesh! Recent data from the Lok Sabha reveals a distressing scenario—over 11.7 million children across India are not enrolled in schools. Uttar Pradesh alone accounting for a staggering 7.85 lakh out-of-school students. States like Jharkhand and Assam are also grappling with thousands of children missing out on education. These numbers are more than statistics—they represent dreams deferred, potential lost, and futures at stake. Parliament's Education Minister Jayant Chaudhary responded to the question of Telugu Desham Party MP Mathukumili Shri Bharat from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh that more than 11 lakh 70 thousand students across the country are deprived of admission in schools. At DEVI Sansthan, we believe that education is the cornerstone of empowerment. By equipping young learners with Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills, we can transform not only individual lives but also the trajectory of our nation. Our Contribution to FLN: 1️⃣ Training Educators as Leaders – We empower teachers with innovative teaching methodologies, fostering a culture of lifelong learning. 2️⃣ Community-Centered Learning Models – Bridging the gap between schools and communities to create sustainable and inclusive education ecosystems. 3️⃣ Tech-Enabled Learning Resources – Leveraging technology to make quality education accessible to every child, regardless of their socio-economic background. 4️⃣ Policy Advocacy for FLN – Engaging with policymakers to prioritize foundational literacy and numeracy as a national imperative. It’s time for collective action to ensure every child’s Right to Education becomes a reality. Together, we can rewrite the future for these young minds and drive impactful change. P.S. Reshare if you feel these numbers are concerning. #YogiAdityanath #EducationNews #UPNews #RightToEducation #FLN #ChildEmpowerment #FutureOfIndia #ABPNews #EducationMatters #SocialImpact #UttarPradesh #UttarPradeshNews
