🌱🔬 Last week's EU release of the "Communication on Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing" is a significant milestone for Europe! As highlighted by EU Commissioner for Competition and Executive Vice President of the European Commission, Margrethe Vestager "Everywhere across Europe, we are faced with the same challenges: Climate change affects us all. Resource scarcity affects us all. Biotechnology can contribute to solving these challenges. Biotech also largely supports Europe’s economy and contribute to our competitiveness, with high growth potential and labour productivity. And by reducing the Europe’s dependency on fossil-based input and other sources of raw materials biotech also increase circularity and strengthen our path towards independence of fossil fuels. With today’s proposal we want to create the right environment for this sector to grow and deliver global solutions to societal and environmental problems." Let's embrace the advancements in #biotechnology to drive innovation, sustainability, and growth across Europe! 💡 This project is funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme 2021-2027

A project like this reflects the vision of a company in markets that are becoming more important every day in the field of mass consumption, adding value to energy storage technology.
ITEN - Solid-state micro-batteries inaugurates its pilot plant in 📍Dardilly, marking a major milestone for the French micro-battery specialist, supported by Groupe SEB. 🙌 Since October 2022, Groupe SEB, through its SEB Alliance investment fund, has been supporting ITEN in its development. 📈 👉 ITEN is revolutionizing the sector with its phenomenally powerful "all-solid" micro-batteries, which are free of heavy metals, fully recyclable and rechargeable while also having a very long service life. 🏭 The pilot plant, operational since March 28, confirms ITEN's global market leadership, with an annual production capacity of over 30 million components. 🌍 With over 200 patents to its credit and prestigious awards, ITEN continues to innovate dynamically while opening up new perspectives. 🚀 Bruno Labrosse Lorraine Schmit Laure Ravel d'Estienne Louis d'Epenoux #ITEN #MicroBatteries #Innovation #Durabilité #Dardilly #Investissement #GroupeSEB

🎄 Today has been a bit like Christmas eve for EU biosolutions aficionados like me. 🔬Because today, the European Commission presented its “Communication on Biotech and Biomanufacturing” and with that a series of actions to boost biosolutions, biotech and biomanufacturing in the EU, thus fulfilling the promise made by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in her State of the European Union speech in September 2023. Biosolutions hold tremendous potential according to the European Commission – Now is the time to unleash that potential🌱 📄 Among the Commission’s set of actions are: - Simplified regulatory framework and faster access to market, including launching a study that could lay the foundations for a possible EU Biotech Act. - Better support for scale-up and ease of navigating regulations. - Foster a larger market for biotechnology and biomanufacturing. - Enable fair comparison with fossil-based products. - Encourage more investments. We welcome these actions and are very pleased with the prospects of an EU Bio Act. This shows how quickly biosolutions are moving up on the EU’s agenda. That is fantastic and something we are proud to contribute to!🙌 🇪🇺As Executive Vice-President of the Commission Mrs Margrethe Vestager said at the press conference “Europe cannot just be the cradle for new solutions, what is born here should also grow up and stay here”. We could not have coined it better 👏 💪 But we need to deliver quickly and ambitiously on these actions. Only then can we succeed with the industrial bio-revolution and enhance Europe's sustainability, resilience, and competitiveness. 🌏 And the European Biosolutions Coalition is more than ready to help accelerating the bio-revolution in Europe!🌱 #EUbioCoalition #biosolutions #eu #biotech #biomanufacturing #sustainability #greentransition #resilience #competitiveness
