Did you know there are other EU-funded projects focused on microcredentials? ✨ Microcredentials - A New Path for Capacity Building in VET ✨ 💡 In the modern world, where the pace of change and technology is accelerating, vocational training is undergoing a major transformation. Microcredentials, certifications that validate specific skills and knowledge in a short period of time, have become an essential tool for updating and acquiring specific skills quickly and efficiently. 🚀 Microcredentials have several advantages, such as flexibility and accessibility, allowing individuals to acquire them at their own pace. Their practical approach eliminates non-relevant information, enabling more directed and effective learning. Additionally, their adaptability and recognition in the labour market are essential in a world where the demands of companies change rapidly. 📈 For this reason, there are increasing efforts and projects aimed at acquiring them. Besides our project MIC4VET, there are other initiatives on this mission, such as “Microcredentials - A New Path for Capacity Building in VET” [MC.VET] under the Erasmus+ programme. 🔊 This project aims to strengthen the link between EU and non-EU countries of Southeast Europe (Western Balkans) to support the relevance, accessibility and responsiveness of VET institutions and systems, to changes in the working market. You can find all the information about this project on the European Commission website: https://lnkd.in/dbic7SnF ✅ It is essential to continue promoting this type of initiatives, adapting to reality and continuing to make VET the perfect path for quality education linked to full employment. #MIC4VET #ErasmusPlus #Microcredentials #VET #EU #EuropeanYearofSkills ENGIM ONG | ENAIP NET | VUC Storstrøm | FONDO FORMACIÓN EUSKADI | Red Internacional B-Live | European Vocational Training Association - EVTA| Adult Continuing Education (ACE) at UCC

Interoperability is a word that often makes people's eyes glaze over. Put simply - why can't you look for the best micro-credential to follow from any university in Europe? Why can't you find out what are the best courses and who are the best teachers? Why can't your qualifications be recognised across borders without jumping through hoops? Why can't we use the latest EdTech tools in classrooms instead of get caught in endless discussions on if tech is evil? These are a few of the problems which interoperability solves, by interconnecting themes seamlessly.
🌟 The European higher education interoperability framework came to be within the #DigitalEducationHub to create a more interconnected, efficient, and inclusive European higher education landscape. 🤝 The project seeks to improve interoperability by leveraging the collaboration within European University alliances and existing best practices. 🌍✨ Transforming Education Through Service-Learning ✨🌍 I am excited to reflect on the inspiring experience we shared with @Luisa Mota Ribeiro from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, during the first Transform4Europe Service-Learning workshop * Building bridges across T4EU Universities. This International workshop was not just an event; it was a powerful gathering of passionate educators dedicated to making a difference. Together, we explored the transformative potential of curricular Service-Learning (SL), diving deep into how we can integrate civic and social justice issues as well as the Sustainable Development Goals into our courses. The energy in the room—whether virtual or in person—was palpable as we engaged in meaningful discussions aimed at fostering critical reflection on SL experiences. It is incredible to witness the commitment from so many educators who are eager to blend educational goals with community service, creating impactful learning experiences that truly meet societal needs. Service-learning is more than an approach; it’s a movement that empowers students to become changemakers. By connecting academic learning with real-world application, we are not just teaching; we are inspiring future leaders who will carry forth our shared mission of social responsibility and community engagement. Let’s continue to inspire each other as we build a brighter, more compassionate future! #ServiceLearning #Transform4Europe #Inspiration #SocialJustice #CommunityImpact #HigherEducation #Sustainability

🔍 Discover Microcredentials! 🎓 📝 Microcredentials are certifications that recognise learning and the acquisition of specific skills in particular areas. 💡 Did you know that the Council of the European Union champions microcredentials? Last year, they recommended enhancing their development, implementation, and recognition throughout Europe. Here's why it's a game-changer: ✅ Certify short-term learning: Microcredentials validate short-term learning outcomes, akin to badges of experience tailored to today's fast-paced world. 📊 Standardisation matters: Common standards ensure quality and consistency, rendering microcredentials reliable and valuable. 🎯 Clear objectives: 1️⃣ Empower individuals: Microcredentials enable you to continuously update and refine your skills, keeping you competitive. 2️⃣ Enhance provider quality: Providers are supported to deliver world-class learning experiences. 3️⃣ Foster inclusion: Microcredentials open doors to all, fostering a fairer society. #MIC4VET #ErasmusPlus #Microcredentials #VET #EU #EuropeanYearofSkills ENGIM Piemonte | ENAIP NET| VUC Storstrøm | Fondo Formación Euskadi | Red Internacional B-Live | European Vocational Training Association - EVTA | Adult Continuing Education (ACE) at UCC

Quite an incisive learning for me at the OEB Global Conference 2024 in Berlin that has brought together participants from the higher education, workplace and government sectors to critically examine how technology opportunities and challenges are transforming the world of learning. This vibrant and thought-provoking conference and exhibition with keynote plenaries from world-class speakers, debates, panel discussions, and endless networking opportunities provides the perfect environment to stimulate, explore and inform working practices to create a better digital learning world. There is a gap on what modern day universities and other learning institutions are offering as courses and real world challenges that we face as humanity. This calls for a rethink and a continuous recalibration of the education delivery models and systems, learning process and training to meet the growing complex challenges that continue to emerge. Such a gathering of minds is rightfully placed within the framework of what ails our world. I am particularly thrilled to network and discuss specifics to the challenges in the global south and to explore opportunities for collaboration in delivering practical solutions that work for our parts of the world. #Learning #Networking #Relearning #Unlearning #Surgingforward #Newknowledge
