Virta nominated for Nordic Innovation Scale-Up award by Nordic Council of Ministers. The Nordics is the global sustainable tech innovation hot spot. No wonder that in 2023, Finnish companies outpaced all of Europe in private equity and venture capital investments in relation to country's GDP – almost double the continental average, according to the Good News from Finland. The finalists for the prestigious award are: Virta Ltd, the Europe’s and South-east Asia’s fastest growing EV charging platform and global leader in integrating EV’s as part of the sustainable energy system. Kempower, the global DC Fast Charging Solutions manufacturer IQM Quantum Computers PulPac fiber-based, sustainable packaging company NOFITECH Norwegian fishfarming technologies company Qred, a Swedish fintech company and bank Besides looking at business excellence, this year, the jury will also look for a company that puts an emphasis on a sustainable, diverse, and inclusive company culture and the transition to a greener economy. By leveraging on incumbent competencies and by jointly designing specific advantages, an advanced hydrogen ecosystem expresses a unique proposition for businesses, talent and finance. For the territories of the North Adriatic, taking the lead in the green transition means sharing the ambition of 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿. The challenge for the entire Ecosystem is to mobilise even more resources in the 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 to seize the first mover advantage. A sustained coordinated action among all participants can bring about an Ecosystem, where energy is affordable and welfare prospers to the benefit of their inhabitants, institutions and industries, as well as for their neighbours and Europe as a whole, means sharing the ambition of becoming a first mover. It’s not enough to invent new technologies to meet the climate crisis. We need to deploy entire ecosystems of infrastructure at scale.
