We're continuing on the reflection of the year, and the second achievement we'd like to highlight is the award of EU Innovation Fund grant, which came in the second half of the year!🇪🇺 The grant of up to €26 million will be used for the installation and operation of Hystar’s automated GW production line, where our world-leading PEM electrolyser stacks will be produced at industrial scale. This is fantastic news not just for Hystar, but for the entire industry, as there's a need to boost capacity both in the EU and around the world. The next years are looking very exciting!🚀

These projects will help reduce 39 million tons of CO2 and pave the way for a more sustainable future! 🎉 The European Commission has selected 85 innovative net-zero projects to receive €4.8 billion in grants from the Innovation Fund. 9 projects from Germany were awarded, 4 of which were submitted with the support of EurA. Great to speak at the Innovation Zero conference this week on two areas I am passionate about. Firstly as Deputy Chair of the National Infrastructure Commission, the "Creating an attractive investment environment" panel with Rt Hon Chris Skidmore, Ofgem CEO Jonathan Brearley, Ben Wilson from National Grid, and Rachel Solomon Williams from Aldersgate Group was a good chance to set out the NIC’s views on how to attract the investment the UK needs to deliver its #NetZero goals. Then in my role as Deputy Chair of the Port of Tyne, the session on "Navigating the Unique Challenges of Maritime Decarbonisation” offered a great forum to discuss the challenges and opportunities for net zero in the maritime industry, and the important role that the Port of Tyne can play. #InnovationZero
