#Throwback to the recent Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue (#SPOD) 2024 in Brussels, where our Sustainability Communications Manager (Europe), Dian Wulan Suling, shared her three key takeaways: 🌱 Inclusive Pathways for Climate-Smart Solutions: Diversity in decision-making is essential for creating inclusive, climate-smart solutions. Sustainability must be a cross-departmental effort, influencing actions across all organisational levels. 🌏 Climate Change & Business Responsibility: Despite skepticism around achieving the 1.5°C target, there's confidence that we are on the right path. However, the mindset needs to shift from merely meeting standards to actively tackling challenges. 📜 Navigating EUDR Challenges: The EUDR sparked significant discussion, which reiterated the need for clearer guidelines and greater recognition of established best practices. Concerns were raised about the potential impact on Indonesian smallholders and the risk of administrative burdens overshadowing the regulation's objectives.
