Satire. But, many truths within the jokes. EU VCs have a higher return rate the research shows (Websummit 2024 quote). Ofc, going from 1 to 2 (analogy btw) gives you a 100% return. If your "seed round" is €50 to €150k, good luck paying a team, even less just a simple cost of living for any of the founders. 💁🏽♀️ EU VCs in their defense say: Blah, blah, blah (Subtitle = we are afraid to lose our money). I say: Show me the money + some vision + some courage. And, yes. KPIs are important :)
