The role of women in the renewable energy sector has changed over the years, and Soltec wants to continue being part of that change. 🤝
That’s why we would like to give the space and visibility that women deserve. Specially to those who continue to be unrecognized for their achievements in a male-dominated sector. 👩🏻💻👩🏻🔬
This month we present the past, present & future of energy #OurEnergyWithThem☀️
On this year's International Women's Day, we honor the incredible women who are key to our mission and innovation at PowerHub: Software for Renewables.
For over a decade, we've dedicated ourselves to crafting unparalleled software that drives growth for asset managers—worldwide.
Our remarkable achievements are profoundly linked to the expertise of the exceptional women on our team.
These professionals excel in the traditionally male-dominated fields of technology and renewable energy, setting a powerful example for the next generation of women.
Today, we celebrate their accomplishments and critical role in inspiring future generations of women to follow in their footsteps.
❗To women in our industry, we thank you for redefining the boundaries of what's possible and being essential to our industry's growth and success.

🌟 Celebrating the Power of Women in Solar Energy! 🌞✨
Happy International Women's Day to the incredible women driving change in the solar energy sector! Today, we acknowledge and honor the passion, innovation, and expertise that women bring to the forefront of sustainable energy.
👩🔧 Non-profits such as Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) are a valued resource we look to for assisting in bringing more Women into the Solar Energy space.
The amount of women working in the solar industry has increased from 27% in 2017 to 31% in 2022. However, women are still underrepresented in the solar industry, as only 31% of solar employees are women (despite representing 47% of the workforce) today.
💡 Let's continue to break barriers, inspire, and empower each other to lead the way towards a more sustainable and inclusive energy landscape.
We also want to give another big shoutout to the Women at our company that make up more than half the (small) but amazing team at SolSearch.

You all are an integral part of the success here and wouldn't be where we're at without you!

Happy International Women's Day 2024
Today, let's celebrate the remarkable contributions of women in shaping a sustainable future. "Like renewable energy, women possess inexhaustible potential to light up the world with their resilience, innovation, and dedication. Together, let's empower women and harness the power of renewable energy to create a brighter, greener tomorrow for all. #WomenInRenewables#IWD2024"
Inspiring to listen to the accomplishments of women listed at the #CEC Women in Renewables lunch at #ACES. Even more so, knowing it was just a tiny snapshot of the work which is being progressed every day.
The energy transition is big and complex. Our problems cannot be solved without diversity of thought. Today was a useful reminder to use one's platform and privilege to elevate a range of voices to ensure we're well set-up as an industry to tackle them head on.

Celebrating Women in Wind, this episode I talk to three influential women leaders in US's offshore wind sector: Liz Burdock, Jennifer Cullen, and CÉLINE B. GERSON.
It is estimated that in the US, approximately 21% of the workforce in the wind energy sector are #women.
These leaders highlight the immense contributions women are making and the importance of increasing gender diversity. Building a more diverse workforce fosters creativity, drives innovation and greater community engagement, which are essential for achieving the industry's ambitious goals.
Listen in as we talk about the need for greater collaboration between government, academia, and private sector to create more career development programmes. Initiatives that are vital for building a robust pipeline of talent to meet the US government’s ambitious goal of 30 gigawatts of offshore energy by 2030. 🌍💡
By working together and changing the status quo, we can build a more equitable and sustainable future! 🌿💪

As we work towards a more sustainable tomorrow, we are celebrating the achievements of women in Kensa. From pioneering new heat pump technologies to advocating for a cleaner planet, they are making a significant impact. #IWD2024 🌍

All the women - especially in Solar - we bow to you and celebrate you!
👏 Let's applaud the incredible women powering the solar industry! Thank you also Veste Jaanus being on the journey with Virtusol team - you are our queen!
According to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), women make up 40% of the global PV workforce - a figure twice as high as in other sectors like wind, oil, and gas. Despite this progress, there's room to improve. Women often find themselves in administrative roles, with few reaching senior positions.
💃 Yet, women continue to shine in driving solar innovation. Solar PV is the fastest-growing sector in renewable energy, with women playing a pivotal role worldwide. From China to Europe to the US, women are making their mark, contributing to a brighter, sustainable future.
To empower more women in solar, let's take decisive action—raising awareness, implementing supportive policies, and fostering inclusive workplaces.
Happy International Women's Day to the trailblazing women in solar, lighting the way for a more diverse and equitable industry!

Over the past two days I had the pleasure of attending the Women in Energy & Renewables Summit with my fellow #AusNet and #Mondo colleagues both from within my business unit and from adjacent teams.
We heard from inspirational & industry-leading women about the challenges we face as an industry collective, and the barriers we must continue to remove, particularly for women, to ensure we unlock the diverse talent pools needed to fulfil the substantive jobs required to drive at pace, the #energytransition.
To support the transition we need 4x more consumer driven renewables (think solar & EV) feeding into the network, and 3x the current Commercial & Industrial scaled generation (i.e solar/wind/hydro), but without urgently addressing the build out of our Transmission and Distribution networks we will fall short of our targets.
Social license was a key theme, and the importance of community engagement.
So what does this all mean in terms of careers and opportunities? Yes, Engineers are a given, but there is room for everyone on this renewable journey, from lawyers, marketers, artists and scientists, facilitators and project managers, educators and trainers, if we nail diversity and inclusion EVERYONE can participate in this exciting transition.
