"CHWs are vital in health research due to their role as primary healthcare providers and custodians of health data in the community. Their accessibility, honesty, and flexibility allow them to gather and update relevant health information and they can express their experiences and challenges in their roles, making essential data readily available for research." As Canada's population ages, we need more attention and care to how we design age- and dementia-inclusive communities. We're grateful to have collaborated with researchers from the SFU Department of Gerontology over the past few years to develop new dementia-inclusive planning and design guidelines for neighbourhoods of all sizes. And, we're thrilled to share a new resource for planners to learn to apply dementia-inclusive design in their own communities! Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gTDNT7ka

Did you know that existing research suggests that marginalized people and those without access to health care may have less access to accurate health information? Researchers from the Michigan (MI) CEAL Regional Team interviewed Black and Latinx residents across four MI counties to learn about the sources of health information they trust, what makes that information trustworthy, what sources have offered inaccurate information, and what concerns they have about inaccurate information. Learn about their findings and what they may suggest about effective public health communications geared towards Black and Latinx communities: https://lnkd.in/dQBeJXrA #NIHCEAL

A powerful tool for CHWs. Take your time and read this useful information.
Global health professional working to transform healthcare delivery and create equitable access to lifesaving products and health care solutions
One of the great lessons I've learned from working with the Community Health Impact Coalition is the power of crowdsourcing ideas from partners you trust and working together (not competing!) to define and refine best practices over time- radically collaborating. VillageReach recently convened a group of donors, government representatives, technical partners and private sector digital companies to help define the 'secret sauce' of what makes digital tools for CHW supply management effective. We hope this new guidance can help to ensure CHWs and people everywhere have access to health products when and where they are needed.
