Placing Concrete in cold weather needs careful advance planning & aftercare
❄ Placing concrete in cold weather should not occur without considerable preparation and management. The negative effects of cold weather on concrete are well established and protective measures must be taken to ensure the durability of the material is maintained and its specified service life is achieved. The Irish Concrete Federation have produced technical guidance on placing concrete in cold weather and is attached below. ☃ The Irish Concrete Society are also running a CPD event on Nov. 27th, designed for dealing with the practical aspects of successfully placing concrete during cold weather.
