Every 10 minutes, a woman loses her life to violence by an intimate partner or family member. This must change. In our latest blog, Coretta Jonah discusses the challenges we face in ending #GBV and #GenderInequality more broadly, and how #GenderData can play a powerful role in addressing these challenges. Gender data highlights the root causes of systemic inequalities that women and girls face, as well as playing a critical role in guiding the design of targeted, coordinated responses aimed at addressing these issues effectively. This #16DaysOfActivism learn more about how data-driven advocacy can help us prevent and eliminate GBV: https://lnkd.in/eVsMgSsT

On November 25, we recognize the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women to raise awareness about the prevalence of gender-based violence and the silence and stigma surrounding it. Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread and pervasive human rights issues in the world—and it is increasing. Globally, one in three women have experienced gender-based physical or sexual violence from a partner in their lifetime. And in 2023, a woman was killed every ten minutes by a partner or family member. Today, we reflect on this profound injustice and emphasize the crucial role of accessible legal services in the pursuit of gender justice. We fight for the rights, safety, and wellbeing of all women. Justice for all means #genderjustice! ⚖️ #InternationalDayForTheEliminationOfViolenceAgainstWomen #NoExcuse #VAWG
