Throwback Thursday: Scaling New Heights with Vivitein™ BLG! 🚀 Last Thursday, we celebrated a groundbreaking milestone as Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (BBEPP) successfully commissioned its 75,000L fermenter, validating Vivici's Vivitein™ BLG technology at full industrial scale. #UFZ/#DBFZ team CAPitalize Leaves wins COSUN BEET HACKATHON with Capraferm® process - Congratulations! On 16 & 17 April 2024, 10 research teams competed against each other in Anklam. The task: to find innovative solutions for better utilisation of the side streams that arise during sugar beet processing. The team led by Heike Sträuber won the "Sugar beet leaves" category with the tried-and-tested Capraferm® process.   The Cosun Beet Company and WITENO GmbH have jointly launched an innovation competition to find answers to the question of how processing waste from sugar beet can be effectively converted into raw materials for various applications. The sugar factory in Anklam produces around 2 million tonnes of sugar beet every year, resulting in various biogenic residues. The aim is to convert these waste products into valuable resources and transform the sugar factory into a biorefinery.
