𝐂𝐋𝐂𝐒 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬 …𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝑳𝑪𝑺 𝒕𝒐 𝑨𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑩𝒉𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒏’𝒔 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 By Lalit Gurung Taktse College of Language and Culture Studies (CLCS), in Trongsa, is undergoing a pivotal transformation as Bhutan grapples with the future of its premier institution dedicated to preserving language and culture. Despite its capacity to host 1,000 students, the college currently enrolled only 248 students in its third and fourth years, following a halt in new admissions since 2023. This change has sparked a nationwide conversation about the college's role in safeguarding Bhutan’s cultural heritage and identity. The Social and Cultural Committee, chaired by Lhaba Lhaba, Khatoed-Laya Constituency, has been at the forefront of these discussions. Highlighting the importance of cultural preservation, Lhaba said, “For a small economy like Bhutan, culture is not just our identity but a pillar of our independence and national security.” https://lnkd.in/g3sYAcvr #Bhutan #bhutantoday #nationalassemblyofbhutan #bhutaneducation

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗼𝗱𝘂𝘀: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 In the climate-hit Satavaya Resettlement Colony, the true tragedy isn’t just the loss of homes to the rising sea—it’s the loss of childhoods to migration. While working on damage assessment and aid distribution in Rajnagar block, Kendrapada, I encountered an alarming issue. In the villages of Satavaya, Kanhupur, and Magarkanda, most children are no longer attending classes despite having a school nearby. The school is right there, yet it remains empty while their futures drift away. 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯’𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘴𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦? This is more than just a local issue; it’s a call for us to act. These children deserve a chance at education, at building their lives right where they belong. We need to find solutions before an entire generation is lost to migration. Let’s come together to ensure that education, not migration, shapes their future. #EducationMatters #StopMigration #HopeForChildren #Satavaya #RuralRevival #PrimaryEducation

We appreciate OGDCL’s initiative of offering fully funded scholarships at Sukkur IBA, which greatly enhances access to quality education. However, we wish to raise concerns about the current scholarship allocation, which prioritizes population size and oil-producing districts. This approach overlooks critical factors like literacy rates, poverty, and educational infrastructure, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Currently, only two districts from Balochistan and four from KPK are selected, despite these regions facing significant educational and socio-economic challenges. Balochistan has one of the lowest literacy rates and limited access to quality education, while several districts in KPK suffer from underdevelopment. Focusing on population and oil production may miss reaching the most vulnerable students. We respectfully suggest revising the allocation criteria to consider educational needs and socio-economic conditions, ensuring scholarships are awarded to the most underserved districts. Additionally, we urge OGDCL to increase the number of scholarships for Balochistan and KPK, providing more students the opportunity for upward mobility through education. We trust OGDCL will take these concerns into account and continue its leadership in promoting inclusive, equitable development. #EmpowerBalochistanAndKPK #EducationForUnderprivileged #equaleducationforall Sukkur IBA University OGDCL Official

Growing up between Lagos and Ilorin's bustling streets taught me hard lessons about youth development. From Ijora to Sawmill, I witnessed young people caught in cycles—trading education for quick money, phones for newer phones, and today's clothes for tomorrow's trends. The midnight streets held more students than morning classrooms. But my years at the university in Sokoto showed me a different picture—one of intentional youth chasing purpose. This contrast is not just geography; it is proof that change is possible. Today, I see an increasing number of young Nigerians creating impact projects and living with intention. The old cycles persist, but they are not our destiny. Change is not just possible; it is our responsibility. And we are already on our way. #YouthDevelopment #NigerianYouth #SocialChange #PersonalGrowth #Reflection
