Treating WEEE 19 12 11 (part one.) Do you know what the waste code 19 12 11 refers to? It's a waste code that covers a multitude of shredded hazardous wastes. When applied to WEEE (waste electricals), it refers to a magnetic smorgasbord of Steels, Aluminium, Copper, motherboards and plastics that are notoriously hard to separate into their usable parts. Sadly, a lot of this ends up in landfill. At Zixtel Ltd, we've spent three years developing a process to separate this waste with the end goal of recovering the majority of resources so they can be sent back into manufacturing. Our process has been successful in recovering the plastics, which can now go straight for testing, with the vast majority of non-PoPs (fire retardant) plastics made available for reuse. We also recover the metals and boards as separate fractions. In part two, we'll delve into more detail about our process for recovering the metals and boards. If in the meantime you'd like to discuss how we can help your own sustainability journey then please feel free to contact me. #WEEE #recycling #manufacturing #hazardouswaste #zerowaste

🌎 🔍Did you know? Your e-waste is a treasure trove of precious metals Many people are unaware that electronic waste contains significant amounts of valuable metals. Here’s why electronic recycling matters: 💎 High Metal Content: Each ton of old computer motherboards can contain 200-500 grams of gold. ♻ Environmental Impact: E-waste harbors toxic substances like lead, mercury, and cadmium, which can leach into the environment from landfills if not properly managed. At Devote Recycling, we are committed to extracting valuable metals from e-waste while ensuring environmental protection and resource efficiency: ✅ Prioritize Reuse: Before recycling, explore options to refurbish and reuse your old devices: ✅ Maximize Lifespan: Identify reusable or repairable parts from EOL equipment before dismantling. ✅ Diversified E-Waste Recycling: We strive to recycle a variety of electronic devices, ensuring that as many materials as possible are recovered and repurposed. Contact us to learn more about our e-waste recycling solutions and how we can help you manage your electronic waste responsibly.♻♻♻ #Electronicrecycling #WEEE #DEEE #SustainableTech #itad #CircularEconomy #EnvironmentalProtection #DevoteRecycling #urbanminning

Turning E-Waste into Opportunity ♻ The Growing Problem of E-Waste: In today's fast-paced world, technology upgrades constantly, leading to a surge in e-waste. In 2022 alone, the world generated an equivalent of 62 million tonnes of electronic waste, but only a fraction—22.3%—was recycled properly. This challenge is even more daunting in regions with less developed recycling infrastructure, where less than 1% of e-waste is recycled (ITU) (UNITAR). Why It Matters ? Handling e-waste improperly can lead to substantial economic and environmental damage, with estimated losses around $37 billion each year. Conversely, appropriate recycling processes can extract $91 billion worth of precious metals from these discarded items, including copper, gold, and iron. Our Role: E-Waste Scrap LLC 🌍🔋 At E-Waste Scrap LLC, we clean up your electronic waste ! 🚮📱 We're your go-to team for collecting any and all electronic waste. Whether it's old computers, phones that have seen better days, or forgotten gadgets gathering dust, we've got you covered. 🖥️📞 Our goal is to ensure that these materials are recycled responsibly, maximizing resource recovery and minimizing harm to our planet. 🌱♻️ #circulareconomy #climate change #ewaste #scrap #computer

🔥 Fires in sorting and recycling centres, who is responsible? WE... and what we throw away in OUR bins! So yes, some companies are not yet at the forefront of fire protection, but many are on to the task or being updated. 🏭👊 But the thing is that these flames 🔥, they come from OUR waste! Not from the direct activity of the company, but from what we throw in OUR garbage. 😮 If you throw a lithium battery in the green bin instead of the proper place, it will end up in a sorting centre and can start a fire. 🚒💥 It's time to take responsibility, sort our waste properly and avoid endangering companies that work hard to manage OUR waste. 🚮💚 Here at SMARTRIUM we can work with you to provide a solution for storing of new and lithium batteries. If you would like to know more, please do DM me. #recycling #waste #batteries Delwyn PélissierLorenzo PELISSIERCyril PoulenardMichel PELISSIER
