Ever noticed how even when there's solid science backing up new ways to treat or prevent diseases, it takes a while for the medical community to get on board? Access to research isn't always enough to get these ideas into everyday practice. There are all sorts of things that get in the way, like getting the word out to practitioners and dealing with personal biases that can slow down the adoption of new methods.
