'The main challenge in El Salvador to achieve the goal of 90% of girls vaccinated by age 15 is the lack of information among the general public, especially parents and teachers, about the availability and safety of the #vaccine, as well as the lack of training of primary care health personnel regarding HPV vaccines.' – Dr Lisseth Guadalupe Ruiz de Campos. UICC’s new grants are empowering local organisations to overcome barriers and increase #HPV vaccination in low- and middle-income countries. These efforts support the World Health Organization's goal of vaccinating 90% of girls by age 15. Read more about how these projects are making an impact - https://bit.ly/40QD6RI

We are pleased to be supporting the HPV Vaccine Acceleration Program Partners Initiative (HAPPI) Consortium in Indonesia, together with JSI and Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in exploring adolescent girls’ experiences and identifying barriers related to the HPV vaccine. The HAPPI program aims to accelerate HPV vaccination among girls, while promoting equity and program quality. As part of exploring both the challenges and potential solutions related to the HPV vaccine and vaccination for girls more generally, earlier this month Empatika conducted human-centered design (HCD) workshops with adolescent girls and their caregivers. This will then be followed by a dissemination workshop with vaccine stakeholders this coming January to discuss the ideas and solutions from the HCD workshops and possible implementation by different stakeholders.
