Sample preparation and pipetting with Festo With Festo USA products and subsystems, handling sample containers and the pipetting of liquids takes place seamlessly in the same workspace. In the initial step, the EHMD rotary gripping module secures the sample vessel, positions it for bar code identification, and opens it. The second step, pipetting, is carried out in the same workspace. During this step, sample liquid is drawn and dispensed into the microwell plate wells, and the pipette tip is replaced after each cycle. The rotating work plate enables new components to be inserted during the welding process. This means that no time is lost and an output of 1.2 million components per year can be achieved. The material used is PA6 GF30 with a size of up to 400 x 420 mm.
