the most important items that I got from RAIC (Royal Architectural Institute of Canada) Conference on Architeture, are: Pros, - Experienced architects in Canada are like assets to their Society (I visited ther exhibitions) - Positive relationship between university and industry is considered by both academicians and industry people (I attended in the meetings) Cons, - Making decisions to increase the density of low-density zones, in response to a greater need for housing, can create problems for cities in the future, The same experience in Iran. #RAIC May 2024
It's always a pleasure to see you at academic events, a realm where you truly belong, sir.
This is awesome!

6moI completely agree with your point about increasing density in low-density zones. From my experience in Iran, such developments often lead to the destruction of green spaces and push public spaces away from people due to poor planning and communication. This can also result in losing the human scale of habitats, making cities less livable. I also conducted research on this topic, comparing the different approaches to master planning in Tehran and Vancouver, which I posted on my LinkedIn profile. I’d be glad if you take a look at it and share your thoughts. More research on this area would be beneficial.
