I’m excited to share that my video "A Day in My Life at PETRONAS" hit ONE MILLION VIEWS on TikTok as part of our internal competition! Making this video was such a rewarding experience. Here are some thoughts I’d like to share: Pros: 1. Eye-opening for career diversity:  lot of people think PETRONAS is just about engineering. This video highlights the wide range of career opportunities available, there are many paths to success within the organization beyond engineering. 2. Inspiration to the younger generation: This video serves as a testament that hard work and dedication can lead to rewarding experiences. I hope it inspires young people to study hard and excel in their chosen fields, knowing that their efforts can lead to exciting opportunities and recognition. 3. Showcasing real-life applications: By sharing my daily routine, I aimed to demonstrate how the skills and knowledge acquired through education are applied in a professional setting. It's important for young generations to see the real-world impact of their studies and how it can shape their future careers. Cons: 1. Public Scrutiny: Going viral also means opening up to public scrutiny. While many comments were supportive and positive, there were also some negative and hate comments. 2. Cyberbullying: Dealing with negative and hateful comments took a toll on my mental health. Cyberbullying is a serious issue, and experiencing it firsthand was challenging. However, the overwhelming support and encouragement from many viewers helped me stay positive and resilient. Creating this video has been a deeply personal journey for me. It’s taught me the importance of resilience in the face of criticism and the value of staying true to oneself. I’m grateful for the experience and look forward to continuing to share my journey with all of you. #PETRONAS #P50

Build the team that shapes the best Event Experience

The internal competition “A Day in My Life at Petronas” has reached ONE (1) MILLION VIEWS on TikTok. What a great example of employee branding! Kudos to the team who came up with this idea and made it happen 🙌🏻 This is just one video. You can check out more under the hashtag #RTP50. This competition was initiated for employees to submit and win by uploading their daily routines at Petronas on their own social media. The results: 1️⃣ Many young people feel inspired and atttracted to work at PETRONAS 2️⃣ This initiative showcases employer branding at a low cost. I believe they only spent on the grand prize. All the content was created by employees who joined the contest, managing to get millions of organic views. This is in stark contrast to hiring a production house to make a corporate video, which often requires paid promotion to achieve your KPI. What do you think about this initiative?
