Yesterday I attended the RICS Annual General Meeting, there were at least twice as many people as last year & the atmosphere was noticeably more positive. RICS are 1 year into a 3 year plan, some brief notes - 🔗 1. CPD, Global and Local Engagement -Bringing back printed version of modus you can opt-in buy the end of the year. - 30 local member engagement groups are at the grassroots level - 80 CPD events - 250 free face-to-face events - 80% satisfaction rate - 7000 engaged with the global conference, a 50% increase from 2022 📈 2. Serving the Public Interest - Entry and assessment for RICS membership under consultation - CPD reforms open for consultation until July 18 (CPD steering group) (both found here) https://lnkd.in/e8ZkTeic 🌍 2. Sustainable Future - RICS is working with leading global organizations - Released and launched the Residential Retrofit Standard 🌟 3. Attracting a Diverse Next-Generation - Supporting members with guidance, sponsorship, and events. - Improving and leveraging data to address gaps in representation and opportunities. - Using large firms best practices to help SME's 🔗 4. RICS Matrics - 252 events across the UK - 49 candidate support groups - 7243 member interactions - Expansion into 10 key cities across 6 regions 🏢 5.
