Increasingly, since the pandemic, our Primary Academies have seen that more of our families are struggling. Too often, we see children coming to school in damaged shoes, in clothes that are too small; we see children, and families, going hungry; we hear from children that they don’t have any toys or books at home. We believe it is our duty to do what we can to change this. This is why we are opening Community Hubs: so that families in need can come to collect essential items. Our supporters have been instrumental in making these Community Hubs happen, pledging financial support and donations of items. Could you, or your company, help? As well as food, our Community Hubs will stock nappies, toiletries, uniform, clothes, books and toys - so even £50 would make a difference. https://lnkd.in/eDGVfxP9 If you want to add your support, please visit: https://lnkd.in/eH4bick4 Or message Emily Clarke #HarrisFederation #Education #CommunityHubs #PrimaryAcademies

Change takes time. It also takes a village. A town. A region. A community. But where do you start to support positive change, especially now in the colder months as millions of people's urgent needs become more significant? ❄ It's a tough choice whether to support people's mental health, heating bills, bereavement support, food hubs, youth clubs, or financial aid. However, giving through one channel - a community foundation - can address all the immediate issues within your own community and help to support longer-term solutions, regardless of an area's size or location. How is this achieved? Accredited community foundations are dotted all over the UK. They work with grassroots groups and charitable networks to transform people's lives within the community, and they do this thanks to the fantastic commitment of donors. Here's an example of the work happening at Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, thanks to the commitment of people supporting their county: 📽 https://lnkd.in/gajKYJQq You can find your local community foundation here: 🗺 https://lnkd.in/dCjjWWS #TransformLives #Investment #CommunityFoundations #Philanthropy

Today is the Day of Giving—a moment to reflect on the power of generosity and the collective impact we can create. At The Bristoll Group, we believe in building meaningful connections and empowering communities. Giving, in its many forms, is a core part of that mission. Whether it’s sharing time, knowledge, resources, or kindness, every act of generosity strengthens the bonds between us. Here are a few ways businesses and individuals can embrace the spirit of giving: ✨ Partner with local nonprofits to amplify their mission. ✨ Offer your team volunteer opportunities to give back. ✨ Share your expertise or mentor someone on their journey. ✨ Highlight a cause close to your heart and encourage others to support it. Let's celebrate the ripple effect of giving—one small act at a time. Together, we can uplift and inspire change. #DayOfGiving #BrandWithHeart #CommunityMatters #GiveBack

At Project Protect Our Children, we believe that youth can become champions in the fight to end human trafficking when given the right opportunities. That’s why we created the Youth Action Board Program—to ENGAGE, EDUCATE, and EMPOWER passionate middle and high school students. Conceptualized in 2019 and launched in 2020, this unparalleled groundbreaking program empowers students to create and lead impactful anti-human trafficking campaigns, events, and activities, reaching their peers in ways only they can. Our Youth Action Board Community of Practice platform offers everything needed to start and sustain a student-led anti-human trafficking club at your school or community—free of charge, including a stipend for a school campus sponsor. Together, Youth Action Board members collaborate to develop innovative events and activities that not only raise awareness about human trafficking but also fill critical gaps and make a significant, tangible impact. This diverse group of students brings together different perspectives, experiences, and cultural backgrounds, united by the goal of ending human trafficking. At Project Protect Our Children, we firmly believe in the power and potential of youth to lead in this crucial fight! Join us in empowering the next generation of leaders to make a lasting difference. Help us grow the youth-driven anti-trafficking movement in your area! One of our 2024 goals is to provide other youth-serving and Nonprofit organizations with the opportunity to grow the youth-driven anti-human trafficking movement and create positive change in their schools and communities through the Youth Action Board Program. Did you know that humans have an innate need to improve their communities? It's called "prosocial behavior," and it’s hardwired into our brains. Studies show that acts of kindness and community involvement not only benefit society but also boost our own happiness and well-being. Interestingly, neighborhoods with higher levels of volunteerism report stronger social cohesion and lower crime rates. It's proof that our instinct to help isn't just beneficial for others but also for creating safer, happier communities. Experiencing the power of communities has shown me how deeply we rely on one another. Whether it’s helping a neighbor shovel their driveway, organizing a local fundraiser, or simply sharing a meal, I’ve seen how small, everyday moments of connection can transform lives. Communities are more than just the places we live; they are the people who show up, who care, and who inspire us to do the same. I’ve seen how collective strength brings solutions to challenges, how kindness builds bridges, and how shared efforts create lasting impact. As I continue my journey in social work, I’m constantly inspired by the resilience, compassion, and determination I see in the people around me. Communities aren’t just where we live—they’re where we thrive. Let’s keep fostering that spirit of togetherness and building spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued. #PowerOfCommunities #TogetherWeThrive #SocialImpact #BuildingConnections

Today, the Executive Club team dedicated their time to the Ace of Clubs homeless shelter, embodying the spirit of community and compassion. It's moments like these that remind us of the collective power we hold. Each helping hand, each shared meal, and every moment spent listening to those with lived experiences of homelessness, brings us closer to understanding and action. We believe that if more individuals and organisations took a moment to step into the world of volunteering, the impact on homelessness could be profound. It's not just about one day or one act of service; it's about fostering a continuous commitment to support the most vulnerable in our society. Our aim at the Executive Club goes beyond business success; it's about building a legacy of giving back, creating ripples of change that extend far beyond our immediate circle. Let's use our networks not just for growth, but for goodwill. We're proud of the work done today and inspired to keep this momentum going. Together, we can be the keystones of change in our community. #ExecutiveClubCares #CommunityService #SocialImpact #Volunteering #HomelessnessAwareness #GiveBack
