Some days ago, our friend Lina Kanapinskaite was sharing with us this fabulous episode from Brene Brown's podcast on the ‘cost of living beyond human scale’ – a mind-opening discussion with the renowned Esther Perel.  I fully agree that it deserves a little pause in our busy days to listen to it & think on it. https://lnkd.in/eHrsa2aV There are quite a few real treasures in this discussion. One of them is about the fake feeling of connection that Social Medias give us, this ‘counterfeit connection’ as one calls it, where you may have 1000 ‘friends’ but no one to feed your cat when you need it. We LOL watching cat reels, whilst we may have no idea of what our own cat is actually doing at that very same moment.  Instead of giving us a feeling of something deep, the lack of true presence of these pretended connections eventually creates a deep feeling of loneliness. That's what modern loneliness is about.   We spend hours a week watching at other’s ‘lives’, how beautiful, successful or mindful others are… and more often than not, more or less consciously, we end up feeling miserable. Today, people crave for attention, to be seen or heard. We seek refuge in our phones, but we cut ourselves off from spontaneity, serendipity, improvisation, and it stops us from deep listening and being fully present to ourselves. In the 2 ladies’ words, AI stands for Artificial Intimacy. I found this concept very powerful.   It's time to hang up the phone, take a deep breath in & out, open our eyes to the real world, listen, feel, connect. Feel alive & powerful. Just being. #trueconnection #liveirl #presence #artificialintimacy #createthelifeofyourdream #mindfulness Justine Assemat Moeata Jammayrac Laurence Duchier Delphine Duran - Lesecq LUMERYS, réussir avec un supplément d'âme

An absolute must listen podcast on the possibilities and costs of living beyond human scale. @brenebrown and @estherperrel discuss how to manage the paradox of exploring the world of social media and emerging technologies while staying tethered to our humanness. How do we create IRL relationships where we see and value others and feel seen and valued in the context of constant scrolling and using digital technology as armor? Or in other words, when technology wants to code everything in 1 and 0, how do we hold space for paradoxes? https://lnkd.in/eSqmsumQ #strategy #consumerinsights #inspiration #entrepreneurship #consumerresearch #behavioralresearch #innovation #advertisingandmarketing #branding #storytelling #whatinspiresme #learnings #Business2024 #leadership #ai #consumergoods #strategicplanning Evelina Rimkute Talitha Rutten Miglė Karg (Padegimaitė) Maria Ortuño Delphine Fonteneau Jeanne Adeline Ingrid Bortels Sylvie Lasoen Nathalie Cabart
