🚨 📺 On July 1, 1941, the world saw the first TV ad ever. The WNBT TV station (now NBCUniversal) showed the "Bulova Watch Time" ad at 2:29 p.m. In the 9-second-long video, the words "America runs on Bulova time" were the first message combined with the video ad ever. This message was spoken by Ray Forrest, one of the very first TV personalities ever. Fun fact: Bulova was billed $9 for the ad. This step marked a new era in advertising, and TV ads were among the most important forms of advertising in the upcoming decades. Even today, in the digital world, video is on the throne of power when it comes to advertising. #marketing #advertising #history #bulova #video #ad #tv #television #digitalmarketing

"TV is Dead." In early 2023, this was the buzzword in the media industry with #TataIPL going #Free on digital. What happened after that is truly remarkable to note: 1. #IPLonStar grew 36% and delivered #highestever reach of 50.5 Cr. The previous high was #electionyear 2019 - 47.8 Cr. 2. #WTC2024 became the most viewed single test with 12.5 Cr tuning in for the match. 3. #AsiaCup23, a 13-match event (also free on mobile), was viewed by 30.6 Cr Indians. 4. #WorldCup23 (also free) reached 52 Cr Indians. 5. #PKL10 (free too) is creating records - 28 Cr viewers in half season, almost the number of viewers who saw season 9 on Linear. 6. #PL2324 is almost 2X of last season, with 30% matches to go. #Incredible, isn't it? 8 out of 9 TV viewers in #India have watched some sports in the year 2023 on #Television. 2/3rd watch IPL on Star. Post covid, TV saw a large dip; in 2023, it's back roaring! #LinearTV is here, healthy, and growing. Unlike the West - cable in India is far cheaper than leading OTT platforms (and data cost). This is the #IndiaStory! #believe #sports #DisneyStar #StarIndia #sportsbiz #broadcastmedia #liveentertainment Santhosh S Sanat Narayankar #premierleague
The 2023-24 Premier League season is scaling new heights on television, delivering 81% higher reach compared to the previous season. Premier League on Television continues to be a prime destination for brands targeting affluent viewers.

Sad to say, but we have a sleazy, massive and well-funded radical right misinformation machine. We know that fox, newsmax and oan run propaganda stories 24/7, along with their hundreds of fact-free, hate-driven radio stations. We also have the sneaky misinformation machine, masquerading as mainstream news that run scripted right-wing slants. If you watch a sinclair sneaky broadcasting station, you are being indoctrinated to opinions instead of facts at these 185 local tv stations run by sinclair: https://lnkd.in/e3F5ZCHe

The political season is upon us. Are your TV spots getting bumped? Traditional television ads will remain the dominant component of the estimated $12.3 billion earmarked for U.S. #politicaladvertising this year. Broadcast TV maintains its popularity in political advertising thanks to its capacity to reach a broad audience. What is your strategy to #stayvisible?
