The Visual Arts Manifesto, co-authored by DACS and 22 other visual arts organisations, was discussed in the UK House of Lords today. Nicholas Trench, the Earl of Clancarty, said: “I ask the government to look at the recommendations in the Visual Arts Manifesto, led by DACS. One recommendation is the appointment of a Freelancer Commissioner for the arts, to look at their rights and levels of pay.
