🚨 New Evaluation Completed! 🚨 CREDI has recently wrapped up an external evaluation of the Danish Refugee Council’s “Support to Health Transition” project, funded by Swiss Development Cooperation. This impactful project aimed to enhance healthcare access and integrate migrant health services into Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national system. 🏥🌍 From September to October 2024, our team used a rigorous, mixed-method approach guided by OECD DAC criteria to assess the project’s alignment with goals, relevance to national strategies, and response to migrant needs. Engaging a wide range of stakeholders, we examined key areas like effectiveness, efficiency, and timeliness to provide valuable insights and recommendations for future initiatives. 📊💡 We're proud to support efforts in creating inclusive, accessible healthcare solutions for all communities! 💙 #CREDI #HealthcareForAll #MigrationMatters #ProjectEvaluation #HealthTransition #BosniaAndHerzegovina

Honored to have attended the 5th WHO Global School on Refugee and Migrant Health hosted in Colombia! Key takeaways: 1. Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is crucial for ensuring healthcare access for all, including refugees and migrants. 2. Emergency services must have provision for continuity of care, supporting the transition to UHC. 3. Evidence-based policies and research-driven actions are vital for improving healthcare access. 4. Regional financing mechanisms can support UHC goals. Let's work together towards achieving Universal Health Coverage for all! #HealthMigration

Thank you #WHO_Global_School for giving us this opportunity. The Fifth Global School is an annual event organized by WHO- this year in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organization and hosted by the #Colombian_Ministry_of_Health. It brings together leaders, policymakers, and health professionals to advance equitable health coverage for #refugees_and_migrants. The value of this event is gaining insights on evidence-based health interventions and engage in dialogues about #policies_sensitive to refugee and migrant needs with #international and #local_stakeholders. The event will highlight #best_practices and #innovative_solutions to #strengthen_health_systems and ensure equitable access to healthcare for refugees and migrants, supporting WHO's goals for #Universal_Health_Coverage and alignment with the #Sustainable_Development_Goals. The event spans over five days. Key topics include inclusive #primary_health_care for migrants, managing #non_communicable_diseases during migration, comprehensive #health_financing for migrants, and bridging #research with #policymaking to address migrant health needs. We need to act now to #build_migrant_and_refugee_inclusive_health_system.

Older Syrian refugees in Türkiye remain largely invisible in humanitarian responses due to outdated data and limited age-inclusive practices. Our new study highlights the urgent need for better data collection and targeted interventions to address their health, mobility, and access to services, particularly in the wake of recent crises. Older women face additional challenges due to gendered disadvantages, requiring specific attention. We must work towards empowering older refugees by ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. Read the full report here: https://ow.ly/zsOr50THBGu
