🚨 Research note of the WEEK! 🚨 Face-to-Face and Door-to-Door Fundraising Is Associated with Lower First Year Donations and Higher Cancelation Rates 📄 Fundraising via interpersonal interactions such as face-to-face and door-to-door (sometimes labeled “chugging” or “charity mugging”), where fundraisers interact with potential donors in person, has been criticised both within the sector and by supporters. NEW: The launch of last week's Top 50 Equitable Funders ranking highlighted some leading practices in inclusive grantmaking, but it also surfaced a challenge: a lack of funder transparency. The analysis, completed by Future of Good and social research firm QuakeLab, found 47% of Canada’s 500 largest grantmakers do not have a website. The largest among them is a Quebec-based family foundation with $1.1. billion in assets. Having a website is not required by law. However, several fundraisers and sector experts say greater transparency would increase equity between grant seekers and may also help inspire more giving. Fundraising & resource mobilization is actually a process of raising different types of support for your organization. It can include both cash and in-kind support. Organizing local/international fundraising events where you invite guests and request donations for your organization. 3. Donation where you request small amounts of money from public 4. Collection of in-kind contribution such as used clothes, furniture, books, vehicles or even buildings 5. Volunteer support where volunteers provide their time and resources to support the work of your organization 6. Income from business-oriented projects of your organization like selling of publications, offering consultancies, microfinance, microinsurance or micro-enterprise-based activities....
