I would like to share some exciting news with you. Our Vid Sersya Budova team has been invited to participate in the Future State Congress (congress,futurestate.tv) which will take place from 2 to 6 December in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. It's a 5-day event of mind-melting discussions, workshops and sci-fi prophecies with the idea of shaping a better future. The discussions will be divided into 5 streams: Day 1 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Future /SciFi /Plurality /Network State /Gov Tech Day 2 re:govern /Resilient Nations /From diasporas to nomads Day 3 re:build /Regenerative communities /Flourishing cities of the future Day 4 re:invent /DeScience /From biotech to "OMG, we can do that? Day 5 The Plurality Congress /Collaborative re:write /Constitution Game The third day of the congress will be special for me as a Ukrainian. It will be dedicated to the topic of the reconstruction of Ukraine through the lens of building new cities. We need to build them on a completely different economic, social and technological basis. We require human-centred, regenerative, community-oriented, wise cities that contribute to people's well-being. For more than two and a half years, our team has been working to create such a city. Now it's time to combine forces with a broad international community. Throughout the day, our team will work with congress participants on different streams of city building to create a holistic urban ecosystem. The work will take place not only in Cyprus, but also in Future State embassies around the world. Brooklyn, New York and Kyiv are already confirmed. I encourage you to join us. In preparation for the Congress, the organisers are running the FSC Guide series of online events. This is a great opportunity to delve deeper into the themes of the Congress. During the week of the 23rd of September, we'll be talking about how to build thriving cities, using the example of Ukraine's reconstruction. During the event we will form a bridge between the past, the present and the future to answer the question 'how'.
