Changing hoist control valve on EH3500-2.lets look at the troubleshooting part if the dump body can't go up and the main pumps are working just alright most technicians quickly comes to conclude that the hoist control valve is faulty it must be bypassing inside.forggeting the most main key prayer which is the 4-unit proportional control solenoid valve which controls the hoist control valve,merge control of main pump 1 and 2 and supply pilot pressure to main pump 1 and 2 to control pump swash angle.the 4-unit proportional valve is controlled by the Manual movement of the hoist lever,which sends a pilot signal to the hoist control valve proportional to the hoist lever movement.when it comes to troubleshooting always start with the basics and move step my step. remember to always do your J.S.A before starting any given task.

The new load cell from #staht makes testing so simple, we've now trained our staff in it's use, it only takes seconds to understand the app which means the certificate is a third party tester so ideal for testing your own equipment. What do I mean by third party for testing? Because the app creates the certificate and will only produce a pass or fail as determined by the standards used to test, it is not seen as being incestuous. An incestuous test is where you have tested an item you own, written down details but there is no fully traceable way to confirm the results of the test and a pass may be in your own best interest at that time. The app on the Staht makes it that a false test can't be produced unless you alter the test criteria itself and that would be shown on the certificate still proving that the test wasn't sufficient and so a fail. Add to this that the units are well designed and rugged and we have to say they have made our testing far easier. Establishing a correct initial alignment, or maintaining a parallel position, is perhaps the most critical preventative maintenance procedure for all types of rotary equipment. The T-Trac® Precision Beam Alignment System mechanically measures the distance between two surfaces; like the distance between trunnion/support roller faces and tire faces on rotary kilns or dryers. Interpretation of these measurements allows for precise adjustments which increase the lifespan of the rotary unit’s components. Add one to your maintenance program!

Here’s a question regarding alignment equipment vs vibration? Why with alignment equipment will the technician get a smiley face or pass indicating no soft foot condition. But when the machine is run at full speed the vibration equipment indicates soft foot or 2LF? If you have a paper or reference to share please do. I have my suspicions as to why but I want your input..
