✨ Capturing life in motion against the stunning backdrop of architecture has always been a passion of mine. During my visit to the Oslo Opera House, I experienced this interplay between light, shadow, and human connection like never before. As I wandered across the expansive marble plaza, I was struck by how the building invites interaction—encouraging visitors to walk, sit, and reflect on their surroundings. I found myself constantly looking for new perspectives, as each angle told a different story. I was particularly moved by the surreal reflections on the glass surfaces, which blurred the lines between reality and reflection. It made me realize that great architecture doesn't just create a physical space; it creates a platform for shared experiences. Similar to my memories at the Sydney Opera House, both spaces evoke awe yet invite unique forms of engagement with the community. This beautiful exchange of art, architecture, and life enriches our everyday experiences. #Terrazzo Design Ideas: Convention Centers Convention centers need a floor that can stand up to heavy foot traffic and a multitude of heavy load conditions. Terrazzo is a good choice because of the strength it offers under very demanding conditions. Corridors are subjected to heavy traffic and high point loads during boat shows, car shows, concerts, etc. Terrazzo provides a decorative finish and has ten times the strength of concrete. #ntma #nationalterrazzo #commercialdesign

Visiting art galleries has become a part of my work. Art spaces have long been an inspiration.... I find visiting #FrancisBacon's art studio; now in a Dublin Art Gallery very moving. Firstly because of the creative chaos in which he worked, and secondly because of the vision the gallery curator had to transfer the whole studio, in precise detail, from London and re-construct it in the #HughLaneGallery. Francis Bacon describes the external mess in the studio as a representation of his internal mind and his life. What is your office/workspace like? Is it a creative mess which inspires you, or perhaps oppresses you. Is a tidy, organised and disciplined space? Do you have art in the space? Do you have plants or pets? Or is your space clinically clean? Do you work in a shared office which suits your inner needs, that inspires you, or perhaps the opposite? Does your workspace mirror your inner life, as it does for Bacon? The spaces we inhabit, the milieu's and contexts we create for ourselves say a lot about us. What does your workplace environment say about you? #art #artgallery #creativity

The Nanchang Poly Grand Theatre (南昌保利大剧院) is a prominent cultural and architectural landmark in Nanchang, the capital city of Jiangxi Province in China. The theatre is part of the larger Poly Group Corporation project, which is a major real estate and cultural development company in China. Key Features: • Location: The theatre is located in the center of Nanchang, near the Ganjiang River, a prime area in the city that is developing into a cultural hub. • Design: The Nanchang Poly Grand Theatre is known for its modern and futuristic design. The architectural concept of the theatre combines both traditional and contemporary elements, often described as a combination of futuristic, organic forms. It features unique, flowing, and dynamic shapes, evoking the image of a large, modern sculpture. The design also integrates the surrounding landscape with the building's exterior and interior. • Facilities: The theatre is designed to accommodate a variety of performances, including opera, ballet, musicals, classical concerts, and other major events. The complex includes a large main performance hall, a smaller multi-functional hall, and other spaces for exhibitions and events. The main auditorium typically holds around 1,600 seats. • Cultural Significance: The theatre serves as a major venue for cultural and artistic performances in Nanchang and is considered one of the city's most important cultural infrastructures. It also contributes to the ongoing development of Nanchang as a cultural and tourism destination. • Completion: The theatre opened in 2017, and since then it has become a hub for the city's vibrant cultural scene, hosting both local and international events. The façade design and installation were assigned to #DadiFaçade (#大地幕墙) and here are some technical innovation about the realization of the theatre façade. Its structure resembles to a mountain and is combination of glass and ceramic veils, paying tribute to the traditional ceramics of Jiangxi. The total curtain wall area of the project is 32000 square meters, divided into 12 curtain wall systems. Including 7274 square meters of imitation stone porcelain panel curtain wall and 4300 square meters of cable curtain wall, with 1700 ceramic rods. #Architecture #CulturalHeritage #Nanchang #PolyGrandTheatre #CulturalInnovation #UrbanDevelopment #PerformingArts #DesignExcellence

Not strangers by Lisbon Marriott Hotel In this realm, the pursuit of the essence behind the concept of space surpasses mere physical existence. The setting becomes a stage, animated by the intervention of our personas, and Marriott allows for precisely that—an intimate rendezvous with the confines of one’s personal space, discerned through texture, hue, and the delicate subtleties residing in the present moment, the fleeting, and the sublime. **Finding the Beauty in Green Spaces: A Journey of Rediscovery** Recently, I rediscovered the incredible beauty of London through its green spaces. As I wandered through the city’s parks, gardens, and hidden patches of nature, I began paying closer attention to the ecology and the life that thrives in these spaces. It made me reflect on how, as humans, we coexist with these natural environments, especially for those of us who have grown up surrounded by the urban landscape. Growing up in a city like London often means being surrounded by buildings, concrete, and a fast-paced lifestyle that leaves little room for rest and reflection. Yet, this project has prompted me to rethink how I design my life—how I can carve out moments to rest, breathe, and connect with the natural world around me. It's about discovering and cherishing the "green scars" that weave through our cities, transforming them into spaces that inspire peace and reflection. As I launch my latest exhibition today, I want to explore this idea further. It’s an invitation to rethink how we interact with nature and to realize that even in a city as dense as London, there are natural gems closer than we might think. Whether it’s a small, tucked-away garden, a leafy square, or a quiet path in one of London’s many parks, these spaces are all around us, waiting to be discovered and appreciated. By caring more about these green spaces and the life they nurture, we are also caring for ourselves. When we pay attention to the ecology around us, we find ways to nurture our own well-being and creativity. So, wherever you are in London—or any city for that matter—I encourage you to slow down, explore, and connect with the green spaces nearby. You might be surprised at how much beauty and tranquillity are just around the corner. Exhibition: Contours of belonging Event launch FREE Date: September 11th 2024 Time: 4pm - 7:30pm Location: SPACE Ilford, 10 Oakfield Rd, Ilford IG1 1ZJ #artexhibition #exhibition #jewellery #fineart #filmart #londonartist
