Did you know that an estimated 12 to 24 million hectares of agricultural land in Australia is classified as extremely to highly acidic? Agricultural lime is a game-changer. By raising the soil's pH, it creates optimal conditions for microbial activity and nutrient availability, paving the way for healthier plants and improved productivity. Got acidic soils? Let us help you improve your land today! #AgriculturalLime #SoilHealth #HealthyCrops #SupportingFarmers

Canada is doing surprisingly well when it comes to GHG emission reductions in growing our crops! The Global Institute for Food Security, a University of Saskatchewan program, published a study from 2022 that looked at the GHG emissions associated with growing six staple crops around the world. The crops studied were canola, non-durum wheat, field peas, durum wheat and lentils. The study took a look at Canada, the U.S., Australia, France, Germany, and Italy, and found that Canada is growing these crops with the lowest GHG emissions. For more information on the study and its results, take a look at this Government of Saskatchewan article. #Science #Technology #BioTechnology #Sustainability #CropProtection #Agriculture #AG #Investors #Canada #US

Re-mineralisation is critical in improving our soils health and enhancing the nutrient density of our food. If you are a farmer of plants, animals or both, you are a miner of the soil of its finite minerals and earth elements. These need to be replaced in a balanced and stable form.

Ever heard of 'double cropping' versus 'multicropping'? Double cropping involves growing two commodities in the same year consecutively, while multicropping entails growing them simultaneously. Recently, I had the opportunity to witness a research field where koi fish and rice were multicropped together. In this approach, both the fish and rice serve as revenue streams. Additionally, the fish play a crucial role in adding nitrogen to the soil, controlling weeds, and potentially managing harmful insects. It’s by no means a new concept but not one widely used in the U.S. It was a lot of fun to watch the harvest in Arkansas. #Agriculture #Sustainability #Rice
