Since its establishment in 1958 and relocation to Dangamvura, Mutare in 1971, the Mutare School of Preaching (MSOP) has dedicated itself to the profound task of nurturing future preachers, deeply anchored in the sound teachings of the New Testament. Our journey, supported by the unwavering dedication of congregations like the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Abilene, TX, USA, has been one of commitment, perseverance, and faith. In recent years, the socio-economic and political landscapes have presented unprecedented challenges, significantly impacting our ability to sustain school activities and affecting student enrolment. Despite these hurdles, our resolve remains unshaken, and our vision clear—to be the preacher training school of choice, regionally and globally. The road ahead is filled with potential, yet requires collective effort. Today, we stand at a pivotal moment, seeking partners to join us in this noble mission. Our immediate goal is to ensure that every aspiring preacher has access to education, unhindered by financial constraints. With just US$3000, you can sponsor a student for a year, covering tuition, boarding, medical needs, and pocket cash, making a profound impact on their journey and the larger community. At MSOP, transparency and integrity are the cornerstones of our operations. Through our Finance Committee, we pledge to maintain utmost honesty, providing regular updates, receipts, and reports on the PACT Missionaries website page, allowing our donors to witness the tangible differences their contributions make. In a world in need of hope and guidance, your support can light the path for many future leaders. Let’s join hands to sustain and empower the next generation of preachers, ensuring that the Mutare School of Preaching continues to be a beacon of biblical truth and spiritual integrity. #MSOP #MutareSchoolOfPreaching #PACTMissionaries #FaithInAction #EducationEmpowerment #ScholarshipOpportunity #JoinTheMission #BuildingFutures #PreacherTraining #SpiritualIntegrity #GlobalImpact”

School is nearly out for the Class of 2024! With only one week to go for senior students across #Queensland, the Tenancy Skills Institute team has lined up a busy schedule of tenancy training next week to ensure as many of these school leavers as possible are rent-ready. Delivering our free tenancy education courses in schools is essential to give young people the best chance for rental success when they seek to enter the private rental market. Young people, Educators, Parents and Carers and Property Managers all agree with us, which is why we call on the Queensland Government (Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works) for the urgent re-funding of the Tenancy Skills Institute beyond the 31st December 2024 so we can deliver vital tenancy education to the class of 2025 and beyond. Surely you wouldn't de-fund this? #betterrentaloutcomestogether

Labour plan to increase provision in Early Years with the opening of over 3000 school based nurseries. In an interview on The Battle for Number 10: A Sky News Leaders’ Special, Labour Leader Keir Starmer said: “We want to create 100,000 new places for childcare, this is 3,000 nurseries around schools because I think primary schools are the best place for nurseries so that that means children get the opportunity to develop the skills that they need before reception year which isn’t happening in the way it should at the moment in my view, but also parents and carers can go back into work which many of them want to do and that then helps the local economy.” It’s clear from this statement that the government need to undertake a review of the sector, gaining a better understanding of how settings run, including what works best as well as the challenges faced by leaders and practitioners. This understanding can then allow for informed decisions to be made which will hopefully see policy changes to address the recruitment crisis, status of the sector, pay and terms and conditions. Only then can plans be made to extend provision, enabling more children to benefit from quality early years care and education. Are schools really the best places to open new settings? What are your thoughts? Nursery World #earlyyears #eyfs #labourmanifesto #earlyeducation #earlychildhood

Barnardos Aotearoa is delighted by the Government’s recent move to make it easier for Home Based early childhood education providers to operate while still supporting a fully qualified workforce. Starting next year, 100 percent of Home Based educators will need to be either fully qualified or working toward a qualification within six months of joining their employment. “The changes to the regulations mean that, for a provider like Barnardos Aotearoa, we can continue to grow our Home Based network and provide an alternative option to whānau who prefer a small, personal environment for their tamariki,” says Heather Taylor, Barnardos Aotearoa Chief Operating Officer. This is a significant step for both choice and quality in early childhood education, allowing more options for local families and investing in the crucial first 2,000 days of a child’s life. Barnardos Aotearoa supports these changes, ensuring our tamariki receive quality early learning experiences that set them up for success.
