Up to 10 Ukrainian teams will be able to present their AI developments in the expo zone and participate in the delegation's activities. Last week, I shared how companies are picking up the innovation in the Tech industry and how companies from around the globe have our region on their radar. This week, I came across this article that shares the same feeling but in the Artificial Intelligence Innovation industry. The surge in AI innovation in the Middle East marks a thrilling new chapter where technology is set to drive both economic diversification and social change. It’s fantastic to see the world waking up to the region’s potential. With AI predicted to add $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030, savvy investors are eyeing the Middle East for promising startups. Countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia are leading the charge, rolling out the red carpet for AI investment and setting the stage for a future rich with possibilities. 5 of the top 10 global cities for Artificial Intelligence startups are in the United States, according to recent rankings released by StartupBlink. Unsurprisingly, San Francisco is well-ahead of the pack. Competition for global AI talent and investment is fierce - Abu Dhabi for example has announced a $100bn fund for investment in AI and semiconductors, and similarly Saudi Arabia has announced a $40bn AI investment fund. The Indian government has greenlit the IndiaAI Mission, a $1.25 billion initiative to propel the nation's AI ecosystem. Over five years, approximately $543 million will be allocated for computer infrastructure, and $241 million will fund promising startups. The mission, overseen by the 'IndiaAI' Independent Business Division under Digital India Corporation, seeks to democratize computing access, enhance data quality, nurture indigenous AI capabilities, attract top talent, and promote ethical AI. Key components involve setting up 10,000 GPUs, establishing an AI-as-a-service marketplace, creating an AI dataset platform, and an IndiaAI Innovation Center. The mission aims to responsibly and inclusively foster India's AI sector, recognizing a projected market growth to $17 billion by 2027. In this context, excited to share I had the opportunity to participate in the Ministerial workshop on India AI Mission - I was able to witness firsthand the immense benefits of this vision. From streamlining processes to enhancing decision-making, AI's impact spans diverse fields, including education. It was inspiring to have experienced thought-provoking insights from eminent personalities like Iqbal Dhaliwal from J-PAL, whose remarkable keynote presentation on AI in public services underscored its pivotal role in shaping a more equitable and efficient future. #IndiaAIMission #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #Technology

💫 Techcelerator and Google for Startups have selected nine startups in Advancing AI, an accelerator program for startups in the region that create products based on AI (Artificial Intelligence) solutions. The programme supports companies' growth efforts and stimulates the development of the ecosystem in the region, with the selected startups coming from Romania, Poland, Serbia and Turkey. 👉 “Artificial Intelligence solutions will be most commonly used in healthcare in the future (15.7% of the market value), especially for disease diagnosis, drug development and personalized medicine.
