Memories of such a wonderful day! Over 10 miles walked through the stunning Ingram Valley and thousands of pounds raised for the Greggs Foundation to support our schools. We were so blessed with wonderful weather for our walk this year and excellent support from Ad Gefrin to rest our legs on our return. Thanks again to every one of our sponsors, partners and Greggs colleagues who made it along on the day 👏

Community impact? The primary impact of this firms business model increases homelessness (currently at 10K+ homeless people on any given night) by gentrifying neighborhoods and forcing people who make less money out. "Global day for people and planet" yet the firm musters up 2 small bins of mostly dog and cat food...this doesn't even align. How about taking on projects that actually help to reduce the number of homeless people in the city instead of ones that are for the affluent population and for corporations to profit from. I hope other architecture studios in Toronto can learn from these fake displays of positive community impact. Many studios like this promote themselves as doing good but really at a foundational socio-economic level, they drive some of the biggest problems in the city. #thinkcritically #communityimpact #torontohomeless
Last week we supported Patcraft's Global Day for People and Planet initiative by filling two bins in our Annex with donations for several SPCA locations throughout the city. Great work team! #communityimpact

Crisis, such as the tragic fires in and around Ruidoso, reveal the character of people and businesses. Such as the extreme leadership of MATI’s Godfrey Enjady working tirelessly with friends, such as PVT’s James Meyers, to restore vital communications within and outside of their own service areas. Or the local businesses working together to meet the needs of those impacted. Local businesses matter and will be there when needed. I so appreciate the efforts of PVT’s employees organizing this effort to bring supplies to those in need. Chris & Tabitha Davis , Cassie Florez , Daniel Rodriguez, SHRM-CP and Ross Horner.
PVT would like to thank people in our communities for dropping off donations, and special thanks to Oasis Christian Fellowship in Carlsbad. Last night, PVT employees delivered the first truckload to the Mescalero Community Center. Two more truckloads to follow.

🗣 Have your say on how we work with charities, voluntary organizations, and town and parish councils to help them take ownership and management of council owned assets. We believe that these transfers represent a significant opportunity to strengthen local engagement and make sure assets are managed in a way that best serves the needs of our residents. We are looking to develop a new Disposal and Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Policy which will outline a framework for identifying and transferring surplus assets, such as land, property, and buildings. 🔗Read the proposals and have your say by following the link in the comments.

Strong communities are built through support and collaboration. Concrete donations like the one to the South Weber Fire Department help with station improvements—an investment in both safety and community. These contributions make a lasting impact on the places we call home.
