I Help Agencies & Businesses Scale Revenue with Web Analytics & Conversion Tracking | $5.8M+ in Proven ROI Growth | Advanced GA4, GTM & Server-Side Tracking Specialist

Over the last 1.5 years, I stopped relying on Shopify's built-in conversion tracking and went all in with Google Tag Manager (GTM) for my clients. Here’s why— Shopify's native tracking is easy to set up, but it has its limitations. It felt too restrictive for the advanced strategies my clients needed. I kept hitting walls and working around those restrictions, which wasn’t sustainable for long-term growth. Here are some of the biggest issues I’ve seen with relying solely on Shopify's built-in tracking: 🔄 Missed data in multi-step funnels – Without proper funnel tracking, critical customer behaviors get lost, making it harder to optimize conversions. 🔄 Limited event tracking – Native Shopify only captures basic actions like page views or purchases, but misses custom events like form submissions or in-depth product interactions. 🔄 Inaccurate data – Browser restrictions, cookie limitations, and ad blockers can hurt your tracking accuracy. GTM with server-side tagging solves that. Shopify tracking is perfect for beginners, but GTM gives you complete control and deeper insights. This shift has allowed me to deliver more accurate data and drive better results for my clients. If you're still relying on Shopify’s built-in tracking, let’s chat—I can show you how GTM can unlock advanced strategies for your store! #Shopify #GoogleTagManager #ConversionTracking #EcommerceMarketing #DataDriven
