Black Phoenix is an event company with 4 years of experience in burlesque shows within clubs, fine dining restaurants and pubs, and now it is looking for a home. That home will be in London, specifically the West End, Soho or Mayfair.
Black Phoenix’s mission is to create a Speakeasy that will be a beacon of performing art and bring back The Art of Burlesque to centre stage with the help of fine dining and curated music (JazzTronica, Nu Jazz).
Black Phoenix has the know-how and now is the right time. London has long been missing the equivalent of the Parisian Crazy Horse, and with the closure of the temple of burlesque, Proud Embankment, a vacuum can be filled.
The city needs and craves a place where sultry sophistication and performing arts merge, accompanied by fine dining and exquisite music. Furthermore, the city needs a place where after the main event, customers can stay behind safely and enjoy a breathtaking after-party with a touch of class until late.
I am proposing a revival of the high-end entertainment scene, aiming to create a sophisticated and exclusive venue that combines fine dining, luxury entertainment (like burlesque), and after-party experiences all in one place. To differentiate from the failing models, the venue would focus on quality, exclusivity, and an unforgettable experience.
The current state of London's high-end entertainment scene reflects a significant gap in the market for a truly sophisticated, all-in-one experience catering to the middle-upper class and the 1%. The collapse or decline in quality of once-prominent venues like Proud Embankment, Louche, The Windmill, The Box, and Darling highlights broader systemic challenges that have resulted in the dilution of what was once a refined experience.
