The Green Hydrogen revolution is coming upon us faster than we can fathom! The U.S. Department of Energy has selected the Gulf Coast as one of seven regional clean hydrogen hubs in the nation, with operations centered in Houston - positioning the region at the center of a global marketplace for clean hydrogen. EEPLUS, being at the forefront of integrating some of these hydrogen facilities/infrastructure to the ERCOT grid, in partnership with CleanTX, are pleased to bring you this webinar titled, “State of the Union on Texas as a Hydrogen Hub - Challenges & Opportunities”.
Dr. Mandhir Sahni, VP & Partner at EEPLUS, along with co-panelists Shannon Caraway, President & Co-Founder Eolic Green Ammonia & Chris Boyer, Chair of Texas Hydrogen Alliance Committee & former Technical Director of Green Hydrogen at AES, will discuss the current state of affairs, regulatory framework progress/needs, development landscape, grid integration challenges/opportunities, transportation and the economics around green hydrogen/ammonia, all within the context of Texas as a Hydrogen hub. They will be joined by noted Energy Thought Leader, Author and Consultant, Peter Kelly-Detwiler, who will serve as moderator for the webinar.

2wThe relevance of the comment “The world consumes 90 million tonnes of hydrogen each year, with almost all of this being derived from fossil fuels” is questionable. My understanding is that most of this hydrogen is also used in processing said fossil fuels and these producers have little incentive to switch to green hydrogen. Most expect to see that market disappear with shifts to electric power and sustainable liquid fuels. So, what is the actual addressable market size for hydrogen? On the other hand your website mentions that your technology also produces syngas - now there is a huge market in transportation fuels!
